Valenciennes v Guingamp
Well Valenciennes are in fine form at the moment having won 4 consecutive games and unbeaten in 8 fixtures;. Ligue 1 is in their sights and victory tonight against Guingamp would put them 6 points clear of 4th placed Bastia with just 5 games to go. I think that would be too big a margin for them to blow so tonight’s game is crucial. But it wont be easy for them against a visiting side that has lost just 2 games in the whole of 2006. I think Guingamp are well capable of claiming at least a point and I’d like to see them fcuk up Valenciennes. I’m certainly no fan of the home team and occasionally my hate for them has cost me money this year. But after this weekend you will see a new, more disciplined meatman and I will refrain from betting on these sort of games. In the past I wouldn’t have been able to resist but I find this was impossible to call. My prediction is draw possibly 0-0 but I’m just gonna sit back and watch tonight I think. Good luck to anyone who will bet.

No bet

The hosts aren`t able to count on the suspended midtfielder Jose Saez,28/1) and injured forward Lurent Dufresne,22/8).

Guingamp dont have much to play for these days, but they were really enjoying their last few weeks. Playing without any pressure they are unbeaten in last 7 rounds, and they are topping form-table in D2 with Caen and Valenciennes. Although not that efficient lately, they were pretty good defensively and they could grab a point at least against favorised Valenciennes.

Valenciennes are one of the strongest home sides in league this season, but few sides much weaker than Guingamp already avoided defeats there (Brest, Amiens, Gueugnon, Creteil, all draw) and with current form Guingamp can do that too. Valenciennes surely deserve to be favorites in this match, not that big though, but Guingamp hardly deserved to be such an underdog.

Value is on guests in my opinion. Asian line is set to 0:3/4 and Guingamp are priced ~1.8-1.9. I would back them at this price even with 0:1/2 handicap, and this offer is a must for me.

Brest v Sete tonight @ 20:00 cet
Well at the moment I’m unsure about this game. Brestare under big pressure at the bottom of the table and must win tonight otherwise they will get involved in a real scrap. Victory would send them 6 points clear of danger. They should be able to do it against poor Sete who need to win this match or else they will be officially relegated back to the national division tonight. On the road they have suffered 11 consecutive defeats but have been fighting quite hard in recent weeks. 3 of their last 5 road losses have been by just a 1 goal margin and on Friday they arguably deserved at least a draw away at Amiens.
There’s no doubt that Brest are favourites for this match but they have won just 1 of their last 15 ligue games. That is not good form although have lost just 2 of their last 7. I think Brest will win but their odds are way too short @ 1.50. The AH -1 bet doesn’t appeal either at a best priced 1.92. If they win then I think it will be by a very slender margin and not a thumping win. Sete are shit and id love to bet Brest but at the moment I have no option but to leave it alone as there is simply no value. Would you want to back a team @ odds of 1.50 that’s has won just 1 of its last 14 games?. Yeh they play crap opponents but it just doesn’t appeal to me. I think I shall wait until Friday night for some more Ligue 2 stuff.

No bet
