Bastia v Le Havre
This looks like being one of the best potential bets of the season to date. Bastia are in terrible form at the moment losing 4 consecutive matches. Their promotion ambitions are all but gone and their confidence is seriously dented. Yet again they are likely to miss many players to injury this Friday which is not a positive aspect. Their opponents are Le Havre who have had a superb 2006 and lost just 2 of their last 15 ligue games. I think Bastia’s odds are too short anyway and I’d definitely have given Le Havre a punt on the +0.5 AH But there is another huge factor consider here.
In their last match, Bastia’s fans invaded the pitch in the 80th minute (against Caen) many bookies failed to pay out on this match which was annoying. But Bastia’s initial punishment for that crime is that their remaining home matches will both be played in a neutral stadium. I repeat, - this match will be played at a NEUTRAL STADIUM.
The venue is Nimes so Bastia will have to fly away from Corsica. Its effectively just like an away game for them and the neutral fans are more likely to cheer on Le Havre. Now I’m not saying this is a reason why Bastia should lose but it makes the odds a bit of a joke. Personally I’d give 2.90-2.80-2.90 on the 1X2 for the game. Instead we are given a bizarre line of around 1.90-3.25-4.20.
Currently Skybet offer a massive 4.20 ion the Le Havre win. There’s no way that price will still stay there for long once they hear about this neutral venue. At the moment it’s clear that bookies are unaware but I have known this was going to happen for a few days. I’ve taken the +0.5 AH @ pointbet and this looks like an excellent value bet. Le Havre aren’t certainties to win or draw but there is a great chance here and I must take it. It’s not often I get on early but there will be a dramatic odds change soon.

Bet
Le Havre +0.5 AH 1.85 Pointbet 5/10

all the rest of my previews will be posted later tonight

personally I wouldnt bother with Caen, not even on a -1 AH. They are in good form but all things must come to an end and I have a feeling Chateauroux might be able to claim something

With Chateauroux virtually safe and Caen chasing automatic promotion I can only see one winner here and I think caen will win by 2 goals.

A more detailed write-up tomorrow!

Bastia league form ; L-L-L-L-W
Le Havre league form ;W-L-W-W-D

Bastia totally out of form recently and have lost five out of six last outings. They`ve only managed to score once in their four last league matches - Def Florent Laville, forw Christophe Meslin, def Bernt Haas, midt Fabrice Jau,forw Frédéric Née,midt Price Jolibois.midt Mounir Diane and goalie Nicolas Penneteau are all missing for the Corsicans - Only Penneteau and Diane were involved in last game at Caen -

Le Havre only lost one out of five last outings(1-4 away vs Caen). They`ve scored nine and conceded seven in five last matches.

My reasons for backing Le Havre ¤ Match will be played at neutral ground.Motivation and moral surely not the best in Bastia camp after four losses in a row + there are still several key players missing.Le Havre in pretty good shape and should have good confidence in their group after some good results lately.

Both sides with just pride to play for but in my eyes Lesage and co should be smal favourites here - 8@away¤away is HUGE and without doubt worth a shot

Almost a must win for hosts this one while visitors have just pride to play for + they are missing their top scorer Papis M'Bodji (14 goals) forward Christophe Aubanel and former Magpies midt David Terrier.(all played last game) Here i will go with the highly motivated hosts against visitors that surely have their strengt at home.I`ll put this in one of my combos.GL

Caen v Chateauroux
This is a match which on the face of it, Caen should win convincingly. The Normans are in superb form at the moment winning 9 of their last 12 games. They are unbeaten in this period and are right in the hunt for promotion. They simply must win this match otherwise they risk losing severe ground on Lorient. They are always a strong home team losing just twice at Le Stade Michel D’ornano this season. Everything looks good for them to beat Chateauroux but the price is a bit short
Caen miss just one player to injury tonight and that’s captain Zubar. He is a key loss but is the only absentee and they have no suspension worries. Chateauroux miss about 4-5 players to injury including 2 new ones. Defender Babin and midfielder Hima are both ruled out. The visitors have had an awful 2006 and will finish in a low position in the table. Away from home they have won just 1 of their last 11.
Caen should win but their odds are nowhere near appealing. The -1 AH would be a reasonable option but the -1.25 is a bit risky. They could easily just win by a 1 goal margin so I will resist. Chateauroux still need the points so will be fighting hard and still motivated. A no bet match IMO and ther are better options tonight in ligue 2.

Clermont v Guingamp
This is definitely another no bet match for sure. Clermont have just 3 games left to rescue their season and avoid relegation. This match against Guingamp is their last home one of the campaign and they simply must win IMO. Their remaining fixtures are away to Laval and Sete, games which they are well capable of winning. Tonight they welcome back 2 key players, goalkeeper Jeremy Gavanon and striker Frederic Fouret.
Guingamp beat Laval last week and on paper they seem excellent value again but their motivation will not be high for this match. Their Brittany rivals, Brest are right in the relegation fight and if they were to lose this match then it could possible put Brest in all sorts of trouble. I’ve been reading on the Guingamp forum today that most of the fans actually want Clermont to win this game. I just don’t think the players motivation will be high but they are well capable of claiming a result. Its pretty hard to call so I cant bet, although I have a gut feeling that Clermont will win.

Dijon v Creteil
This is yet another game which is screaming no bet at me. Dijon could do with a win but in all reality they have little to play for now this season except for an outside chance of promotion. they have won 7/9 home games and performed well in 2006 so far, but Creteil are never easy opponents. The visitors have lost just 1 of their last 8 away form home and have kept clean sheets in 5 of these games. Recently the lack of pressure on them has been to their advantage playing some good football. For this game they miss key striker M’bodji and have defender Terrier suspended. I think Dijon might nick a win but their odds are too short. I give them about a 2.10 rating here but instead we can only get 1.95. There’s no value on them because Creteil are always such a grafting side and hard to bet.

Grenoble v Brest
This match certainly has great potential for the home win IMO. Grenoble have little left to play for now this season but they will want to impress in front of their home fans. When they get going then they can be very good, one of the best teams in the ligue. In normal circumstances I’d fancy them to beat Brest easily its just a question of whether they can continue to be motivated.
Brest have had an awful 2006 winning just 1 match so far and in terrible form. They come into this game without a victory in 12 games and under sever pressure at the bottom of the table. If either Laval or Clermont can get going below them then I reckon they could easily be relegated. For this match away at Grenoble they miss captain Olivier Gueugnon who is suspended. The force just isn’t with them at the moment and I think Grenoble are tremendous value for victory.
Personally, I’d give a line of 1.80-3.60-5.60 for the 1X2 but bizarrely bookies have set something similar to 2.50-3.0-3.20. Now either I’m way off otherwise there is some big mistake here. We are given the chance of a level ball AH @ 1.80 and its definitely worth a bet IMO. I just cant see Brest winning, so this looks very safe for sure.

Bet
Grenoble (0) AH 1.80 Betdaq 5/10

Gueugnon v Montpellier
Gueugnon definitely look a good bet here IMO. They have little to play for now this season but will want to impress their home fans. They have lost just 1 game @ Le Jean Laville this season so far and only Lorient have managed to beat them here. Solidity is the name of the game for Les Forgerons as they have kept 11/17 clean sheets on home turf. I just cant see them losing to Montpellier although the draw is definitely a big danger.
Montpellier travel to Burgundy with little to play for and motivation isn’t likely to be that high. On the road they have lost 3 of their last 4 but can be a hit and miss side. Nobody will want to obtain unnecessary injuries though so level of commitment isn’t expected to be dramatically high.
Gueugnon’s odds have risen steadily over the week and we can now get a comfortable -0.25 AH on them. This is excellent security and is worth 4/10 stakes IMO.

Bet
Gueugnon -0.25 AH 1.98 Betdaq 4/10

Istres v Reims
I’m very tempted to bet Istres win here but will resist. There is little value on them IMO and bookies have most of the lines covered nicely. Istres have won 5 of their last 6 home matches but in their last 2 games I have not been impressed as they slumped to successive 1-0 defeats against Valenciennes and Creteil.
Reims have little to play for now this campaign but have been very solid all year. They are quite capable of keeping another clean sheet and wont make it easy for Istres to beat them. The home team need 1 more win to guarantee survival and it could well come tonight. But I’m not totally convinced so I’ll leave them alone.

Sete v Laval
There is great potential value here IMO asSete are completely underestimated against Laval. The home team have been awful all year losing a massive 21 games and winning just 3 but this is more a type of fixture they are capable of winning. Its likely that this will be a national division fixture next season so if they could claim a win then it would be a real confidence boost. They haven’t been performing too badly in recent weeks and have an excellent chance for sure.
Laval are a poor side and this is a must win affair. If they are to avoid relegation then their next games against Sete and Clermont are crucial. But they haven’t impressed me recently and this will be just as tough a game for them. Les Tangos have lost a massive 12/17 on the road this campaign and in all honesty, deserve to be relegated.
I’d give odds of 2.85-3.0-3.10 but instead we are given bizarre lines of 4.10-3.25-2.25. Bookies have seriously overestimated Laval because they ‘HAVE’ to win. Well its total bollocks IMO and no way should they be so short. I’m definitely going to give Sete +0.5 a punt, although only small st
