I did read somewhere else that the weather in France is pretty poor..so maybe this was a reason for the Metz odds changing..rain can be a great evener

even if the weather's bad, (how bad can it be at the end of august?), this doesn't explain odds going from 2.10 to 2.55 (at the -1AH). That's a HUUUGE change.... They must have known something other than that!!!

Anyway, i'm hoping for dijon now. If dijon wins, the day will be saved for me!

N Diaye equalised for Tours, and I was afraid of the same scenario as against Strasbourg, but Ribas scored the 2nd goal for Dijon, 2-1

yeh I knew something was dodgy with Metz

not often I say it, but the word fix comes into mind

so far not a bad night for me with Bastia and Dijon winning, Clermont coming from 0-2 down to draw was a bonus as well.

If Brest could nick an equaliser would be nice

What did the bookies know????
I'm sure there was something. I don't like conspiracy theories, especially when it comes to betting, but something smells here.......

This actually happened last year in a ligue 1 match, Valenciennes at home to someone I think. Despite them being a popular pick the odds on them rose massively for no apparant reason. They ended up losing.............

Great Bastia 2-1 ( 30' Andre, 51' Barthelemy for home team, 70' Soumah for guests )

Dijon are usually a mediocre team in Ligue in last seasons, but have had a tough start in this season. They metin the first 3 matches 3 teams which played in Ligue 1 in the last 2 years and only gained 1 point. They first opened the season at Lens and lost 3-1, in a match where they managed to keep a 0-0 score until the 52nd minute nut a red card after the goal made Lens win the match 3-1. In the second round they had a good performance against another fresh Ligue 2 team Strasbourg, but they lost with the same score as against Lens, 3-1. The only point they acquired was last week against Ajaccio, in balanced mach where they took the lead but only managed a draw in a 1-1 game. Tours on the othe other hand sit much more better on the table than their better rated opponents. They have 6 points after 3 matches, and their only loss came in 90th minute at prmotion contenders Metz. But despite statistics are nice, they didn't deserve a point in Metz and so far had a lucky schedule. They won at home against a poor Sedan side which showed nothing worth a promotion contender at the start of this season and won against Vannes 1-0, another team newly promoted which missed a penalty at 0-0 and was punished after with a penalty and a red card from which the only goal was scored. Tours showed great fighting spirit, but the players lack quality, and by now they should feal pretty pleased with themselves with 6 points from a possible 9. On the other hand Dijon is a good side, not good enough for top places but decent enough. They met tough opponents and only earned a point so far and should look not to let themselves get dragged in a relegation battle. This is a good oportunity against a weak team at home. Excellent odds because of early results, and I'm confident Dijon will win.
Nice

Nimes - Lens
25.8.2008 20:30

i have just few words to say to this match so i´m not calling my pick as a well-informed-banker-of-da-nite

lens definitely have the upper hand here if we compare the squads player by player... nimes´ defense will have very hard task to cope with power of players like boukhari, monnet paquet or maoulida. the one and only weapon for nimes tonite should be their attacking duo kroupi with malm whose can cause some hurt to lens and we cannot forget the crowd´s support in favor of nimes as well... in my mind this match should be some exciting attacking minded one.
under these circumstances i´m about to take the over 2,5 goals tonite which is priced at lovely over 2,3 in many bookies (10bet - 2,42!!!, paddy power - 2,38, bet365, nordicbet, sportingbet, stan james - 2,3) and at absolutely unbelievable 2,45 in betchronicle

good luck guys!!!

Nimes + 0.5 AH @ 1.94 188bet 4/10

I’ve been thinking about this match long and hard and I just cant get away from this bet. Nimes have lost their first three ligue 2 matches and already people are presuming that they’ll be the whipping boys this season. But I’m not so sure that they will be and I don’t think they are as bad as some people suggest. In their first game of the season (and their only home one so far) they were exceptionally unlucky to lose 0-1 against Brest. They followed this up with a couple of decent away performances, but ultimately lost to Sedan and Clermont. But hey, this is France and a lot of teams struggle away from home. In front of their own fans they will be different opposition, especially when the stadium will be packed full with over 15,000 fans. The atmosphere in the Brest match here was pretty hostile and Lens might struggle to cope just as they did at Vannes a couple of weeks ago. To be honest I have been very disappointed with Les Sang et Or so far this year. On paper they have a squad far better than anyone else in this division, but they just aren’t playing well enough at the moment. In time they will probably settle down, but unless they really improve tonight then I don’t think they’ll claim victory. This will be a very difficult fixture for the visitors and I will take them on by betting this Nimes +0.5 AH line.
