Dijon looks like a banker to me, last three won vs Tours ( 3-1, 2-1, 2-1 ). But we still need to be a little careful as Tours started very well in League 2 ( 2 wins, 1 loses ). Best odds for home win - BWin (UK) ( 2.20 )

Clermont -0.25 AH @ 1.90 188bet 4/10

I don’t think Clermont have been especially spectacular in their start to the season, but they have been relatively solid. Their first win last week at home to Nimes should do them the world of good and I think they’ll just about have enough to see off Angers. The visitors are still unbeaten and have played some reasonable football. But perhaps they have been a little bit lucky in certain departments, and away from home this wont be an easy match. Angers are a team whom I rate quite highly but I don’t think this is the sort of game that they will enjoy. Clermont are normally strong in front of their own fans and I think there is some decent value on this -0.25 AH line. I’m only going to stake 4/10, but I feel that this bet has every chance.

Dijon -0.25 AH @ 1.88 188bet 4/10

Yet again I am going to take on Tours, but I’m now a little bit more wary about the relegation favourites. They aren’t a team whom I rate very highly, but to their credit they have fought hard so far this year. However, ultimately I feel that they lack quality and its still worth betting against them, especially away from home. Dijon picked up their first point of the season last week when they drew 1-1 in Ajaccio. They used very negative tactics, but were solid in defence and can now be more confident approaching this encounter. Dijon are nothing special but they aren’t a bad side and this is a match that they are capable of winning. Tours still have a lot to prove on the road and I think odds of 1.88 on a -0.25 AH line are simply too big. Nevertheless, I dare not stake too highly on this outcome because there are a few dangers to consider.

Bastia -0.5 AH @ 2.10 Bet365 4/10

Guingamp have had a disastrous start to the season and have lost all of their 3 games, failing to score a single goal in the process. Things just aren’t clicking within the squad, but on paper they do appear to have some sort of potential. Until they show signs of improvement then I’ll have to bet against them and I think Bastia should be able to beat them tonight. I don’t rate the Corsicans particularly highly but they haven’t started the campaign that badly and are playing some reasonable football. This is the sort of match that they have had problems winning in the last few years and all too often they have draw or even lost matches they should’ve won. So for that reason I dare only stake 4/10 on this -0.5 AH line, but in all reality they should be able to add to Guingamp’s woes. The visitors have been really poor so far and just aren’t playing well, I simply must oppose them. Odds of 2.10 are fairly generous, I think Bastia deserve to be about 1.80 here.

Metz -1 AH @ 2.10 Bet365 7/10

I’m fed up with Boulogne and they have cost me more money than any other team in ligue 2 this season. Somehow the northerners remain unbeaten although they have only really deserved to win one match. In both of their away outings they have been outplayed, but managed to scrape a couple of lucky draws which they didn’t deserve. There’s no way the team can continue in this way and they must suffer defeat soon. It looks as if it should come tonight against Metz. The hosts are still unbeaten and although haven’t been spectacular yet, I expect they will soon show the full might of their attacking potential. There are definitely a lot of goals ready to be scored by this team and they could enjoy themselves against a defence which I still don’t rate very highly. The good news about Boulogne’s start to the season is that we can now get very generous odds on this Metz -1 AH. Quite simply 2.10 is way too high and Les Grenats are capable of getting the 3 points easily. Boulogne have annoyed me for long enough this season but tonight I’m confident that I’ll be smiling.

Brest 0 AH @ 1.88 10bet 3/10

This is only a small bet I’ll have, but I think Brest can at least end Strasbourg’s 100% record. Les Alsatians have done well to win their 3 games but they haven’t been massively convincing. Brest aren’t a bad team and its in these sort of games that they traditionally do quite well in. The Bretons often raise the level of their performance against the best teams and Le Stade Francis Le Ble can be a difficult stadium for a lot of teams to come. Strasbourg have their qualities, nobody can deny that, but they aren’t anything special. I feel that they are already overrated amongst the bookies ahead of this match and odds of 1.88 on a 0AH are too big to ignore. Brest haven’t quite clicked yet this season but maybe tonight will be the night. I’ll only stake small but I think they are capable of picking up at least a point tonight.

Reims -0.25 AH @ 2.17 10bet 3/10

Reims won for the first time last week as they produced an accomplished display away against Guingamp. I think getting the 3 points was a huge relief for the Champagne side and they’ll be able to build upon that success. Coach, Didider Tholot has a reasonable set of players at his disposal and there is plenty of quality within the squad. Traditionally at home they are as good team and difficult to defeat in front of their own fans. This wont be an easy task against Montpellier, but I feel Reims are overpriced to get the 3 points. The visitors are strong defensively and are capable of playing good away tactics. But things have yet to properly click for them this season and this has potential to be a difficult trip for them. No result can be ruled out and Reims are far from a team that can be relied upon. But I cant ignore these odds and I have a sneaking suspicion that they’ll win.

In the other matches:-

Sedan - Ajaccio - Well I think a draw is possible here or even an away win. ACA do play some good stuff on the road these days, Sedan are an overrated team. This could go either way to be honest

Chateauroux - Amiens - Another match capable of going either way, I find this match incredibly hard to predict.

Vannes - Tours - I have a feeling that Vannes might win, they are quite an impressive side. But Troyes have the quality and can't be underestimated. A dangerous match that it best left alone IMO.

Good luck all

Bastia start season good.In first round they won Troyes away 1-2 then in second round home they draw with Angres without goals. In last round Bastia lost away from Strasbourg with goal in last minute 1-0.In other side Guingmap is the only team that havent score till now in new season. In first round they lost from Metz home0-1.Then in second round they lost from Boulogne away 2-0 and in last round they lost from Reims 0-2.In this new season in those three round i see that Guingmap have resly serious problems with teams and they dont show nothing. In this game Bastia is favorite and i think in this game they can win andmake first home win.

Metz - Boulogne

Both teams are without lost game in new season.Team of Metz won away in first round with Guingamp then in second round they won Tours at home with same result 1-0.In last round they draw away with Amiens 1-1.In other side Boulogne in first round draw with Amiens 1-1.then they won Guingamp 2-0 home and in last round they draw away without goals with Motpellier 0-0.in this game i see Metz favorite but we need to be carfully with necomers becouse they know to make suprise and in this game they will try to keep result and point form this match for Boulogne means so much.I see alot of fight in this game and i dont see many goals.Under 2.5 for this game.

Dijon - Tours

Dijon are usually a mediocre team in Ligue in last seasons, but have had a tough start in this season. They metin the first 3 matches 3 teams which played in Ligue 1 in the last 2 years and only gained 1 point. They first opened the season at Lens and lost 3-1, in a match where they managed to keep a 0-0 score until the 52nd minute nut a red card after the goal made Lens win the match 3-1. In the second round they had a good performance against another fresh Ligue 2 team Strasbourg, but they lost with the same score as against Lens, 3-1. The only point they acquired was last week against Ajaccio, in balanced mach where they took the lead but only managed a draw in a 1-1 game. Tours on the othe other hand sit much more better on the table than their better rated opponents. They have 6 points after 3 matches, and their only loss came in 90th minute at prmotion contenders Metz. But despite statistics are nice, they didn't deserve a point in Metz and so far had a lucky schedule. They won at home against a poor Sedan side which showed nothing worth a promotion contender at the start of this season and won against Vannes 1-0, another team newly promoted which missed a penalty at 0-0 and was punished after with a penalty and a red card from which the only goal was scored. Tours showed great fighting spirit, but the players lack quality, and by now they should feal pretty pleased with themselves with 6 points from a possible 9. On the other hand Dijon is a good side, not good enough for top places but decent enough. They met tough opponents and only earned a point so far and should look not to let themselves get dragged in a relegation battle. This is a good oportunity against a weak team at home. Excellent odds because of early results, and I'm confident Dijon will win.

WTF is going on

I've checked everywhere was for the reason why Metz odds have gone up and can find no answer

This is VERY strange and I smell something fishy, I've never known such a dramatic insrease odds on a team in France which surely a lot of people are betting on today.

I've just taken them another 5 units @ 1.85, really too big to ignore.

This odds swing has scared the shit out of me though, it doesn't make sense at all

Not sure why , I can't explain it but I have a gut feeling on Guingamp. Small stakes mind but I just don't know. Just a feeling.

And as I stated in the first reply to this thread. Took Dijon early at 11/10.

on dijon @ 2.20

also would have been tempted with opposing sedan at under evens, think they are a bad price, also think angers, amiens & troyes are decent prices

I have taken OVER 2.25 in match between Sedan and Ajaccio at 2.06with Ladbrokes. Neither the handicap nor price is really exciting. I think that bookies have set up fair ones.

Ajaccio has found some difficulties to play their matches in front of their fans, but perform well away from home. Just like in the last away game (against Reims, won by 3-1 goals), they will find enough free space to play their style by counterattack and I predict they will create a lot of chances to score at least a goal (my hope is that they will replicate the result from Reims). Cheik Diabate has scored 2 goals and Stéphane Darbion has assisted twice until now and I expect they will produce decent game again tonight.

On other side Sedan will look for second home win and they have back MOKAKE for this game. That is really important for my bet as Alexis ALLART and Yohan EUDELINE are out tonight. According to their fan site the stadium will be sold out and I expect home factor to help them to score at least once or more. They have a high motivation for this game and it’s important too.

Both defences are not so much stable and they conceded in every one game they have played until now. So I have my hope for this bet.

P.S. I’m sorry that I post so late, just few minutes before the start.

I took Metz -1AH @2.55, and now we're one down!! damn.....) Let's hope that metz can turn this around.... 3 goals will be very difficult, so i'm forgetting about the profit, but at least 2 to get my bet back!! fingers crossed.... i know lots of people are counting on metz today....

PS: If it ends in a weird way, then i'll be very curious to find out what the bookies knew and changed the odds!!!!
