Lyon already french champions and will rest several key players for this meaningless game.Cris, Caçapa, Tiago, Juninho and M.Diarra are players that will be rested for this game -Lille not in their best form lately but have a strong home record this season(12-5-2) and have all motivation in the world for this game

Okay here goes,

game of the week...... St. Etienne - Rennes

Ringabell makes a point for Lille but I say wait a minute the reason champions are champions is because they win when not expected so instead of risking the play on Lille vs Lyon I say bet Rennes to win and here is my logic.

Lets face it St. Etienne have been sshet most of the season they are in the bottom half of the table at 13 and they have only 2 wins in there last 8 both at home one against Lens not too shabby and one against Nante who have also been up and down this year. The only thing going in their favor is Meatman might still be willing to back them one more time considering he has got them wrong so many time and figures one more time has to go the right way. hehee no offense meant Meatmeister

Now for Rennes they sit in 5th 1 point behind Lille and I'm sure they can taste that 3rd position. They have 10/16 wins from the last 8home / 8away, 4 of those 10 are away wins against Toulouse/Colmar/Metz/ and the big one against Lyon. They have actually scored 11 away goals to St. Etiennes 5 home goals in the last 8 so the fire power is in Rennes favor.
Finally thinking as the manager if Rennes nik this one away and Lille does come up with something special to beat the champs they stay 1 point behind until of course Rennes have Lille for dinner at home in the last game 7 days from now. Only 3 visitors are given the nod to win based on the spread Rennes/Auxerre/Lens out of the 3 I think Rennes is the most likely winner.

I see the better bet behind Rennes on the road then Lille at home.

Bet Rennes to win 2-1

As I said on last nights Ligue 2 thread, I've now finished betitng in France this season and will be taking a break to concentrate on Scandinavian ligues

If I was to bet today then the only 2 I had in mind were Nantes (0) and Toulouse (0)

Here are my predicted outcomes

Lille v Lyon - 1-0
Nanets v Bordeaux 1-0
Marseille 2-1 Strasbourg - But Marseille riddiculosly short
Les Verts 0-1 Rennes
Le Mans 0-1 Lens - I think Lens can do it but too short a price
Nancy 0-0 Auxerre
PSG 3-0 Ajaccio - could be a hammering
Nice 3-0 Metz
Toulouse 1-0 Monaco
Sochaux 1-1 Troyes

Good luck to all today

Lille - Lyon

Lyon already crowned champions and have nothing to play for as they already brake many records, and Lille in a desperate fight to keep hopes alive for the 3rd place and repetition of the success of this season and qualifing for the CL. Lille had always been problems for Lyon and rarely allowed points to leave thir stadium. Their last defeat on home court from Lyon was in 2000/01. In the first part of the season they even managed to win away from home. Lille has impressive home record with 11wins 5draws and only 2 losses. They have managed to beat Lyon consecutively in the last 4 seasons on their court. Now Lyon is modifyin the squad and Houllier will be resting Cris, Caçapa, Tiago, Juninho, M.Diarra, Berthod, Hartock. Addin the injired Benzema and Lyon's team will probably look like this:
Lyon:Coupet,Réveillère,Diatta,Müller,Abidal,J.Clém ent,Pedretti,Govou,
F.Malouda,Wiltord,Fred .
Lille with tough schedule and visiting Rennes in the last round, they must take the points here so first squad for them:
Lille:Sylva,Lichtsteiner,Schmitz,Plestan,Tafforeau ,Makoun,Cabaye
Dernis,Bodmer,A.Keïta,Odemwingie.

For the braves I suggest Lille to win with the odds of ariund 2.50 at least- 4/10 stakes at BAW and as a bit safer option Lille DNB 1.75 8/10 at Pinnacle.

Good Luck

Besides Lille taking as a single bet, I suggest you to try one small stake combo.

Marseille-Strasbourg

Strasbourg, Metz and Ajaccio are all relegeated and have nothing to play for. Marseille is in the fight for the CL spot and have to win here, especially after last week's win over Auxerre. They havev proved they are worthy playing CL and have quite easy task ahead of them. I hope they won't enter relaxed and let some surprise to happen. The odds are low for home win, that's why I suggest this combo woth odds of around ` 2.50. Marseille is without suspended players only injired Cesar and Niang, while Strasbourg has couple of problems and will be pitching modified squad.
Marseille:Barthez,Taiwo,Déhu,Civelli,Beye,Cana,Lam ouchi,Oruma,Ribéry
Maoulida,Niang.
Strasbourg:Cassard,Boka,Devaux,Kanté,Deroff,Hosni, Si.Keita,Abdessadki
P.Farnerud,Le Pen,Gmamdia.

PSG - Ajaccio Both teams with nothing to play for as Ajaccio relegated and PSG already secured an UEFA cup sport by winning the CUP. After the match the troph from the cup will be shown to the fans, so I don't beleive the fans will feal good to celebrate a trophy after losing from the weakest side in L1. The quality is on PSG's side and with no relaxation the victory will be very close.
PSG:Letizi,B.Mendy,Rozehnal,Yepes,Armand,MBami,E.C issé,Dhorasoo
Rothen,Pauleta,Kalou.
Ajaccio:Trévisan,Collin,Laurenti,Danjou,Robin,Rodr igo,Rocchi,Chafni
Abdoun,Scarpelli,Lucas Pereira

Nice - Metz 13 injuries ahead of this clash for Metz. Really nothing to lay for and big big problems with the squad. Nice are very strong at home with 10w 4 d and 4 l and I can't see them losing points against Metz especially this weakened Metz.Nice has some minor chances for Intertoto Cup, but it really depends on the other higher placed teams.Metz is the weakest visitor after Ajaccio with only 1 win so far.
Nice:Gregorini,Fanni,Sa.Traoré,Abardonado,Varrault ,Balmont,Rool
Ederson,Vahirua,Bellion,Koné.
Metz:Marichez,Béria,Alioui,Borbiconi,Huszti,Medjan i,Agouazi,Obraniak
Gueye,Contout,Youla.

In conclusion, the three relegables are playing against very stronger teams. If PSG, Marseille and Nice didn't enter in this games relaxed I sense 3 easy home wins and nice odds for this combo.
In local ~2.50 that much can also be found on the net and i am taking it with low-medium stake 4/10.

Good luck.
