OM and OL were my 2 winners tonight, sadly once again St Etienne somehow lost an away match that they shouldnt have. Nancy also probably should've taken 3 points, denied by a few decent saves.

Auxerre -0.25 AH @ 1.85 Betinternet 4/10

This looks set to be an interesting match between a couple of sides who can be hard to predict. Both have 3 points on the board after winning one, and losing one match each. Auxerre haven’t looked particularly good, especially last weekend when they were thrashed 0-4 by Marseille. On the opening day they beat Nantes 2-1 but that was perhaps a fortunate success. Nice won last week at home to Nancy but that also wasn’t the best of displays. Home advantage could be important in this encounter and Auxerre can never be underestimated in front of their own fans. I expect Nice coach Frederic Antonetti will use his normal boring defensive 4-5-1 formation away from home, which can be effective at times. I doubt this’ll be a very exciting match and I cant see many goals being scored. 0-0 is definitely a possible outcome. The under bet is certainly worth considering but something attracts me to Auxerre today. This wont be a pretty match but I have the feeling they can graft out a win.


Bordeaux -1 AH @ 1.90 Betinternet 5/10

This is an Atlantic derby clash and is one of the headline matches in ligue 1 this weekend between two great rivals. In recent years its been Bordeaux who’ve had all the success, and failure to beat Nantes would certainly be classed as 2 dropped points. Les Girondins were unlucky last weekend to lose 0-1 at PSG. Laurent Blanc’s men were easily the better side on the night but were denied by some good goalkeeping and some poor finishing. However, if they keep playing as they have been then more wins will come their way and they should have too much quality for Nantes to deal with. The visitors were expected to comfortably be the best of the promoted sides this season, but so far they have been outshone by the likes of Grenoble and Le Havre. Les Canaris sit on just 1 point in the table and are currently winless on their return to the top flight. They aren’t a bad team but they face a difficult task to get any points out of this fixture. I feel that Bordeaux will be just be too strong for them and I definitely give preference to the hosts. There isn’t much value, but Les Girondins will probably cover this -1 AH line.

Rennes v Lille looks to be a difficult match to predict. Don't underestimate Lille on the road, they often play some excellent tactics. I was tempted to gamble on Rennes, but sometimes they can flatter to deceive.

Two out the three games today are tough to call. So, again small stakes and going for higher odds.

Auxerre-Nice: Draw @3.10 (Coral) 3/10
Auxerre had the worst defense last year and the 4-0 pounding from Marseille reaffirmed this. Furthermore, they had one of the weakest offenses last year and don't seem to have changed for the better. Nice, on the other hand had the best defense last year (30 goals along with Nancy) and a poor offense. I see a 0-0 or 1-1 draw that pays well.

Rennais-Lille: Lille Win @ 4.00 (Bet365) 3/10
Rennais, I think, has shown that it has a leaky defense. Lille plays tight although they disappointingly lost last week at home. The difference between the teams at this stage is not clear and for Lille to be on offer at odds of 4.00 I think is an opportunity for a team that hasn't lost at Rennais in the last 5 years. Take Lille to win (score could be 1-2).

Reasoning	A very tight affair on the cards here. I just think the value is laying Rennes. Theres not much to go on so far this season with Rennes drawing 4-4 with Marseille and then losing 1-0 away at Grenoble. Lille were dissapointing in losing 3-1 at home to Le Mans but their recent record when playing Rennes shows up well. Infact, in the last 12 games between the sides Rennes have failed to win a single game. This has to bode well for Lille and laying Rennes looks the safe option to me.

2 down 1 to go it's going to be tough, I favor Bordeaux to win it but if Premier League was any example yesterday Nantes can steal a point

Poor bet really I shouldn't have gone for Auxerre, there were too many doubts about them.

Bordeaux won 2-0, so a good end to the night and overall a level weekend for me in Ligue 1. Still I was disappointed with some of my teams this week though and somev sides such as Valencienens and Le Mans continue to surprise me.
