i fancy Lyon to win tonight - checking into team news but @2.10 for Away win even 2.20 i have seen they are great value - Bet 365 have dropped to 1.90 but Gamebookers still hold high odds.

Lyon have kept all their best players and added the talented Pierre-Alain Frau...

Nice have struggled against Lyon in the past and are only a mid table team even losing 5-0 in one encounter.

This is week 1 though so accumulators only.

Unsure about Monaco - two of their best players leave and the forgotten man Kallon arrives - would normally back them to win away but not sure it's worth a bet till we have seen how they set out this season.

Marseille have brought in some good players and stand a good chance of beating Bordeaux - Pedretti, Lizarazu and so on...should have a good season despite losing Drogba

PSG have added Rothen who i rate highly so will be force this season i feel - perhaps main threat to Lyon.

anyway that my early thoughts - will be hoping Rennes can beat PSG but not sure this will happen.

My first instincts would suggest backing Sochaux - and after doing a readup on team news, I couldn't be more certain of Sochaux, really. :b

1.64(Betfair) for one of the strongest home sides in Ligue 1 last season against perennial strugglers(and pretty hopeless travellers) Ajaccio is simply a no contest IMO even though these are early days yet. Although there's been some renewed optimism in the Ajaccio camp following a goalless draw in a friendly with Lyon recently, the truth is Lyon did not field anything close to what you'd expect of them in a competitive match.

Class will tell IMO and there's only going to be 1 winner.
