I took Anderlecht early at 1.72 with Centrebet, they have dropped their price to 1.60 which seems to be the bookies average now.

Brussels and Anderlecht both have had terrible seasons so far, but lately Anderlecht has improved somewhat while Brussels hasn´t.
Anderlecht hasn´t conceded a goal yet in the new year which is a change for them.

Brussels has lost all three of their games so far this year and I expect they will lose their fourth game this weekend.

Bossie/ultainferno

Is it true that de sutter from cercle brugge is out for the rest of the season?
Surely this is a major blow for them? Just how important a player was he for them?

Cheers Steve

Yep, it's true and it is headline news in Belgium. Their coach asked to U21 national coach to let him play only 1 half and thenational coach said after 60' I'll take him off the pitch. After 58' he got injured and is out for 6 months and this for a friendly U21game, now De Sutter will probably miss the Olympics.
He was rather important for the team because he scored alot both was also a kind of targetman in their system and they don't have a replacement for him , the striker who will come in is a totally different type short quick. They still have lot of quality but I first want to see how they will cope with this.

Anderlecht looks like the main bet in Belgium this weekend. The improved their game a little bit recently, but still they have probes to score. Now Pieroni could make his debut in this game, but he played, not much lately so may be miss some matchfitness.
Frutos is still out and won't play before march; DeSchacht is also out but that's no blow incontrary.
Hassan is still in Africa, but Bousouffa replaces him well and his level goes upevery week since his long injury, last week he missed a lot of chances; but as midfielder you got to come their to miss them.
Anderlecht look solid at the back lately.

Brussels on the other hand , bought a bunch of players in wintertransfer, so this team is still searching. They also changed from coach but this had also no result 0/6.This team hardly created a chance in last 2 games against 2 other top 6 teams.
This offcourse stays a derby , the stadiums are only 2km from eachother.
Normally this would be at very high stake but the derby and Anderlecht scoringdifficulties and always having troubles in Brussels, we go tomedium

odds dropped heavely and still are dropping
Brussels - Anderlecht 2 1.6 (expekt.com) 5/10

Don't have much time these days so some quick punts:

Club Brugge - KV Mechelen
The leaders dropped 2 points last week ar strugglers STVV , but now Sonck comes back and this will be a great boost for them. Further their are no special absentees.
KV Mechelen are poor travellers at Anderlecht they didn't create a thing, even after they came behind.
So for me this is a clear HW, because odds are low I'll put them in another low odd game:
Standard - Roeselare
Here we have a very strong home team against one of the weaker awayteams.Standard still miss Dufour but Felliani and Sarr are back and upfront it is hoping on a few flashes of their 3 strikers who all are a bit out of form.
Roeselare are very poor away before the break they just won once at struggling Mouscron. I can't see anything that gives us the right not to back the hometeam , even the return of topscorer M.Dissa for Roeselare can't change my mind.
so
STandard and Club Brugge at 4/10

Bossie - good comment on Mechelen! They are poor travellers, indeed! All in all, I bet on double Anderlecht (1.60) + FC Brugge (1.25)

Standard played with 2 strikers to start Mbokaniwas on the bench, but they often start with 2 for their 3 strikers. They played a rather poor first half with only 2 chances and 1 for Roeselare (the only one in the whole game). Roeselare played as expekted very defencively with 5 defenders and 2 defending midfielders. Second half Mbokani came in for a defender, they created 4 or 5 great opportunities but all were saved by Sierens, who was the man of the match. Some other small chances went wide or the goallie neutralised them also.
Sorry for the confidence I had in Standard, but games like this they win normally9 out of 10.

A sort overview from this weekend:
My main bet came through, but because I picked a combo I had a small loss this weekend.

Brussels - Anderlecht 2 - 4
The hometeam were after 3 minutes already down, they still looked very crappy, this got to change very quick or they'll go down. Anderlecht created again lots of chances but this was also through the weakness of Brussels now the scored some but at the back they still conceed too easy allthough last were cleansheets.

Charleroi - STVV 1 - 1
Here were the better chances for the homeside but they could just only make 1 and STVV didn't lose for the 4th time. Hometeam deserved more.

Club Brugge - KV Mechelen 2 - 0
Club Brugge kept ,as expekted the 3 points home through 2 goals of Sterchele. The qualitydifference you see on the board as easy as that.

Dender - Cercle Brugge 2 - 4
This was a very nutty game, with chances all over the field. We saw 6 , for the same we could have seen 12. Cercle played well without De Sutter and after 10' Fell also Iatchouck out. But they still brought some nice football, still wait what it will be against a stronger team(next week AA Gent).

Lokeren - Mons 1 - 2
6 points out of 2 games for new coach Cartier, Mons isn't burried yet. Lokeren as always they try to prefend not to create. The game was poor of chances but Mons made 1 more than Lokeren. draw would have been more fair may be.

Mouscron - Westerlo 1 - 2
Mouscron , with 5 new signings at the start, created an enermous amount of chances, but wasted them all. Westerlo took the 3 points which they deserved in previous games but didn't get.

Standard - Roeselare 0 - 0
summary above

Zulte-Waregem - AA Gent 2 - 1
A game that could have gone the other way, but a draw would have more fair. Just before half time Fadiga(AA Gent) got red card a little later they equalised and just beginning of second half they had the better chances but didn't score and sub Barrios did for Zulte.

Rc Genk - GBA 1 - 3
The hometeam is real sick. First half GBA had the better chances but didn't score. Start of second half GBA scored but RC Genk scored straight back. Then striker Dosunmu (GBA) was excluded. In the last quater GBA scored 2 to secure the deserved victory.
