What about Nashville at Columbus. I watched the last nights game and the home side was very lucky in the 1st (referie denided a clear goal for visitors), but later things gone as we expected. Nashville dominated on the ice and won, as it seems with half strenght. Columbus was without 7 regulars.

Today is a new game (next one is on 16/01 at Nashvlle if I'm right) and if Columbus wouldn't get back on track at least a few players I cant' see them put some serious pressure on the visitors.

On the first glance my pick is Nashville @ around 2,05 (various bookies). More serious prediction maybe later today (if I find some time, my doughter celebrates hers 2nd birthday).

So Fedorov might back tonight for Columbus, and that means they must go without 6 regulars. Nashville with full roster again.

So, to confirm: Nashville @ 2,05 in my local 6/10.

Los Angeles Kings @ St Louis Blues (19:05 GMT)
Look at the game long and hard, seems nothing stands out, but then in a minute couple of nice things just poped out...okay lets go (if you dont mind ill c/p some magazine stuff and add the link, so you can also see it for yourself).

Blues have new coach and he rejuvenated (hope i spelled ok) the Blues team
Following in the footsteps of Chicago, Columbus and Phoenix, the Blues have turned things around under new head coach Andy Murray with an 8-2-1 stretch heading into Saturday afternoon's game against Los Angeles.
Morale in the Blues team has risen - you will see they are even thinking about the playoffs
The word "playoffs" has made its way in the dressing room.
"I think the players are using it," said Murray. "I told them if they want to check the standings that's fine. Really our only focus right now is to try and get better and if we get better, you might be playing something in March. Source
LA Kings are without their two top goalies, as Clouthier (anyway thats a good thing for them) and Garon are on injured list, so the starte tonight will be Barry Brust
The Kings on Friday placed Mathieu Garon on injured reserve with a finger injury, which he suffered a day earlier in a 5-2 loss to the San Jose Sharks. To replace Garon on the roster, Los Angeles recalled Yutaka Fukufuji from Manchester of the American Hockey League. Source
Trends for this match are mixed, but 3/4 in favour of St. Louis tlee me that im barking in the right direction

Kings are 5-1 in the last 6 meetings - ok i dont like that one

Favorite is 5-1 in the last 6 meetings.

Home team is 11-5 in the last 16 meetings.

Kings are 2-6 in the last 8 meetings in St. Louis.
Of course then we have also one day of rest more.

So, those edges and the fact that these two teams doesnt like to play OT beeween themselves makes me go for St. Louis Blues regulation win @ 2.1 Ladbrokes but with medium stakes, as apart from those edges i cant find anything else separatng those two: 5/10

OK, seems that the price dropped...when i checked on that odds......site it was over evens.....

anyway im not taking it on Ladbrokes, waiting that 5dimes offer me something, that is, regualtion win. Also a bet on total goals scored by Blues tonight sure looks good...more i think, even a over could be interesting....

more to follow, find some edges on tonights so called "not so public plays"...

Any opinion Tulenos....

Sport Ice Hockey
Event Chicago Blackhawks @ Detroit Red Wings
Selection Detroit Red Wings -1.5
Strength 10/10
Date 13/01/2007
Bookmaker/Price 10bet @ 2.05 (Back)
Reasoning Chicago with a lot of injured players, between them also Havlat, who seems to be the machine in his team. Chicago was hit some month ago, and even i wouldn dare to bet against them if they were here with a full team. Clera HW for me, Detroit won last 9/10. the only concern is that Osgood will be the goalie for this match and not the oldie Hasek, but hey the regualtion win odds are crap and Wings just trashed red hot Phoenix with 5-1 away....another trashing today

Sport Ice Hockey
Event Pittsburgh Penguins @ Philadelphia Flyers
Selection Pittsburgh Penguins
Strength 10/10
Date 13/01/2007
Bookmaker/Price Ladbrokes @ 2.25 (Back)
Reasoning Philadelphia in a slump, dont believe that Forsberg will be in his best condition, and even if he was a Crosby and Malkin combination is better.
Also the Philly goalies are crap lately, Esche had a solid run but then failed to produce, anyway todays probable goalie is Nittymaki, fresh out of injury...last game .800 and something.
IMO clear away win, to add--Pittsbourgh own the h2h series big time, with five wins i a row

Also playable IMO Pit -1.5

Sport Ice Hockey
Event Nashville Predators @ Columbus Blue Jackets
Selection Nashville Predators regulation only
Strength 10/10
Date 13/01/2007
Bookmaker/Price Ladbrokes @ 2.00 (Back)
Reasoning Another very nice looking bet IMO. Columbus without Nash who is out indefenitely, als oa question mark is Fedorov, and there goes the fire power of Cloumbus team. Predators also owns the series, with 4 straight wins ag. Jackets, the lsat one coming yesterday - 2-0.

Nashvile a lot better when playing with no rest
9-1-0-1 vs Jackets 4-7-1-0.

IMO the bet is also playable with handicap -1.5

Interesting that Ladbrokes seems to have the best prices on NHL.

Must add that i also very much like over 6 in Rangers game, but none of the Sp bookies doesnt offer that bet...all seems to have only over 6.5

Rangers, St. Louis and Pittsburgh are all evening games!!!

Sport Ice Hockey
Event Boston Bruins @ New York Rangers
Selection New York Rangers to win 3rd period
Strength 3/10
Date 13/01/2007
Bookmaker/Price Paddy Power @ 2.25 (Back)
Reasoning Great odds for this bet IMO. Its kinda riskier but if you follow the Bruins results you will see that they had a 3-0 lead against the Senators, and lost lasdt 3rd with 5-0 and the same story repeated itself aginst the NY Islanders.

Rangers just came out of defeat aginst Ottawa, where they aere trailing with 5-0 after the 2nd period...well let me just say that the match ended with 5-4..

Nice odds...but keeping it low

3/10

Seems to me like a ver y decent bet

Probable goalies for tonights matches....source: www.goaliepost.com.

vs
Tim Thomas is the starting goalie tonight for Boston reports the Boston Bruins Website. Hannu Toivonen played last game losing 5-4 in OT to the NY Islanders.

Henrik Lundqvist is the strong probable starting goalie tonight for the NY Rangers. Kevin Weekes started last game and was pulled after allowing four goals on 27 shots.
January 13, 2007

vs
Cristobal Huet is the starting goalie tonight for Montreal reports the RDS.ca Website. David Aebischer played last game winning 4-2 over the dead last Philadelphia Flyers. Huet is 3-1-1 with a 2.32 goals-against average in five career starts against the Senators.

Ray Emery will start in goalie tonight for Ottawa reports the Senators Website. Emery won last game 6-4 against the Islanders. Gerber's last game, January 7th, was a 6-1 win.
January 13, 2007

vs
Marc-Andre Fleury is the probable starting goalie tonight for Pittsburgh reports the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review & Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Jocelyn Thibault lost last game 5-2 against Florida. Thibault is 1-5-2 this season.

Niittymaki is the starting goalie tonight for Philly reports the Philadelphia Inquirer. Niittymaki lost last game 4-2 against Montreal. The Flyers have lost five in-a-row.
January 13, 2007

vs
Barry Brust is the starting goalie tonight for LA. Mathieu Garon is now on IR because of a broken finger on his right hand. Dan Cloutier had hip surgery yesterday and won't be returning anytime soon, the official word "indefinitely." Barry Brust will start until of course he is injured as well. Yutaka Fukufuji will backup if he can get a flight.
Anyone notice his name Fuk-u-Fuji; is someone messing with me.

Manny Legace is the probable starting goalie tonight for St. Louis again. Sanford should be back just before the All-Star break. Legace has gone 8-3-3 since Sanford was injured.
January 13, 2007

vs
Johan Holmqvist is the probable starting goalie tonight for Tampa Bay. Holmqvist beat Washington last game 5-4. Holmqvist now has a three game winning streak, even though he wasn't particularly sharp last game.

Ryan Miller is the probable starting goalie tonight for Buffalo. Martin Biron played last game losing 4-2 against Toronto. Buffalo beat Tampa 4-1 on December 5th.
January 13, 2007

vs
Johan Hedberg is the probable starting goalie tonight for Atlanta. Lehtonen played last night losing 2-1 to New Jersey with two goals against in the third period. It should be noted Hartley has multiple times this season played a goalie in both back-to-back games even if they lose.

Cam Ward is the probable starting goalie tonight for Carolina. This is really 50/50 as Carolina coach Peter Laviolette never reveals his goalies. Ward won two straight however was pulled last game. John Grahame came in and Carolina scored six goals in the third to win. Tough call but we are going with the #1 Ward until we hear other wise.
January 13, 2007

vs
Chris Mason will start tonights game between the pipes for Nashville reports the Dickson Herald. Vokoun played last night earning a shutout with a 2-0 win.

Ty Conklin is the probable starting goalie tonight for Columbus reports the Columbus Dispatch Game Day Card. Fredrick Norrena lost last night 2-0 to the high powered Nashville Predators in this home-and-home.
January 13, 2007

vs
Nikolai Khabibulin is the probable starting goalie tonight for Chicago. Here is a quote from the Chicago Tribune
"Savard acknowledged Wednesday he had been riding Khabibulin "pretty hard" since becoming coach and perhaps the goalie was feeling a bit of fatigue. Khabibulin has started 21 of the 22 games since Savard took over. The only one in which he didn't play, Dec. 9 at Minnesota, he was sick. In his last three games at the United Center, his goals-against average was an unsightly 6.67. Savard said he doesn't intend to change his plans and will give Khabibulin off days only from practice."

Chris Osgood will start tonight for Detroit reports the Detroit News.
January 13, 2007

vs
Martin Brodeur is the probable starting goalie tonight for New Jersey. Brodeur played last night against Atlanta winning 2-1. If he starts it will be his 15th consecutive game.

Rick Dipietro is the probable starting goalie tonight for the Islanders. Mike Dunham has not played since January 2nd and is due for a game any time now. One of the back-to-back's on Monday or Tuesday we are guessing.
January 13, 2007

vs
Roberto Luongo is the probable starting goalie tonight for Vancouver as usual. Dany Sabourin hasn't played since December 21st. Vancouver has four games left until the All-star break.

Andrew Raycroft is the probable starting goalie tonight for Toronto. Raycroft beat Buffalo 4-2 last game.
January 13, 2007

vs
Olaf Kolzig is the probable starting goalie tonight for Washington.

Ed Belfour will start in goalie tonight for Florida reports the Miami Herald. Auld allowed five goals in the third period last game as the panthers lost 6-4 to Carolina.
January 13, 2007

vs
Evgeni Nabokov is the probable starting goalie tonight for San Jose. Toskala won last game 5-2 versus LA. As far as we know the one game goalie rotation will continue.

Curtis Joseph is the probable starting goalie tonight for Phoenix. The Arizona Republic/Phoenix Gazette Noted Gretzky is 'likely' to start Joseph today and Monday. Of course this is unconfirmed.
January 13, 2007

vs
Ouch, Peter Budaj will start tonight for Colorado reports the Rockey Mountain News. We were really leaning towards Jose Theodore tonight as Peter Budaj was pulled last game after allowing five goals on 17 shots. Theodore didn't fair any better only stopping 7 of 9 shots in relief, but come on he needs to play sometime.

Ilya Bryzgalov is the probable starting goalie tonight for Anaheim. Giguere is still injured.
January 13, 2007

vs
Dwayne Roloson is the probable starting goalie tonight for Edmonton. There is a high probability that Jussi Markkanen could start with Roloson losing last night. Markkanen last played December 30th in a 6-2 loss against Vancouver.

Miikka Kiprusoff is the probable starting goalie tonight for Calgary as usual.

Sport Ice Hockey
Event Washington Capitals @ Florida Panthers
Selection Washington Capitals OT included
Strength 5/10
Date 13/01/2007
Bookmaker/Price Bet365 @ 2.25 (Back)
Reasoning Another nice value. Wass owns the series against Florida having won three previous matches. Both temas in strugling lately so i think its a 50-50 match. But i do believe that Ovechkin will show his teeth today, one of the best young players is having a wonderful season and could be the match winner in this one. Would be a good match with both teams having great keepers Belfour and Kolzig.
Anyway i like the value so im going for the Caps
5/10

Sport Ice Hockey
Event Vancouver Canucks @ Toronto Maple Leafs
Selection Vancouver Canucks regulation only
Strength 7/10
Date 13/01/2007
Bookmaker/Price Ladbrokes @ 2.60 (Back)
Reasoning Quite astonishing odds for the healthy team against a heavily injured Toronto. Imo the odds are that high because of Leafs win in Buffalo, but looking at the stats, Cans have by my calculations more than 50% of chance to win tonight, they walso suffered defeat against Minny last time out and will be trying to bounce back against Leafs, so motivation is big factor here, that seems the Sabres lacked when they lost. Cans won last match 4-3
against then healthy Leafs...

I think this one is a great value bet. So im giving it a 7/10

Sport Ice Hockey
Event San Jose Sharks @ Phoenix Coyotes
Selection San Jose Sharks regulation time
Strength 8/10
Date 13/01/2007
Bookmaker/Price Ladbrokes @ 2.10 (Back)
Reasoning Revenge time in Phoenix. Coyotes won last two against the Sharks, last time even with 8-0. But they seem to lost their mojo, when playin against Wings, the game in which they had merely 16 attempts on goal. Looking at the last matches, they simply gone out of juice and maybe even motivation after that coup of sweeping the whole 5 game mini tour.
Sharks are better team and IMO they will have motivation on their side, Coyotes might have another bight for that kind of streak, but not tonight.
Because of inpredictability of the Coyoted lately in giving this game an 8/10

Sport Ice Hockey
Event Colorado Avalanche @ Anaheim Ducks
Selection Anaheim Ducks -1.5
Strength 10/10
Date 13/01/2007
Bookmaker/Price Bet365 @ 2.55 (Back)
Reasoning This one should be simple. Going for the team which posesses more quality in every department. Okay maybe with injured goalie Griguere Avalanche might have better goalies, but probalbe starter for todays game is Budaj, who cashed in 5 quick goals in game against flames...so not much difference.
Anaheim is a scoring machine, and if the Flames managed to put 7in Colorados net, i think that can be repeeated today..also COL have injured Liles and Brisebeois, especially Liles is the key man.
Cant see nothin but a clear home win.
