Default Nhl 28.12

Well, I will have a small bet on Florida Panthers to win against Montreal Canadiens tonight.
On one hand, the Canadiens should be in good mood after a solid win at Tampa Bay last night, they won 5:2, they dominated the game, they had a 5:0 lead, nearly all of them had a good match, coach Carbonneau made changes in the lines and it seems that worked great. On top of that, Montreal has a solid away record this season 12-6-2.
And still, they have a poor record against the Panthers - no win in 13 months, a four-game losing streak. And they are not known for good back-to-back performances. Moreover, Tampa Bay reportedly were piss-poor last night and they are in a slump. Rumour has it that their coach has been the sack but I haven't found a confirmation. Montreal also scored a couple of lucky goals last night. Struggling striker Michael Rider will likely get another chance tonight and he has been a total waste of time and space recently, plus he helped Tampa Bay to score last night.
On the other hand, the Panthers are well-known for a tight defensive style of play which will not suit the Canadiens. Last night Florida won 5:3 against Atlanta Trashers, leading 2:0 after the second period and then allowing a surprisingly entertaining third period. I'm sure coach Martin will not allow a repeat tonight. Moreover, the Panthers had a bad record in Atlanta and they are in good form.
Expecting a tight win with a single-goal margin for Florida, odds around 1.8 at betfair.
