| Hi Guys, I am just getting into NFL and fancy having a couple of bets to make it a bit more interesting. I've never bet on NFL before so if someone could give me a few pointers that would be brilliant. I mainly want to know what types of bet are out there and what to look out for in those markets. Whether I should look to back the team with the head start in the handicap, that sort of thing. Also can you bet in play? A big thanks to anyone who can give me a bit of info, or post a link to a good website or another thread that explains it (if that's allowed?) Thanks very much Shotgun |

| There plenty of bets out there. The most common are point spreads, game totals and money line. Every game depends on the teams playing, their current form, their dominance at home or ineptitude on the road, the matchup itself (i.e strong run game vs weak run defense) etc... There are plenty of factors. Yes you can bet in play but the bookies will take an added 10% juice. |
