Detroit run line
Bonderman (0-0, 2.57 ERA) tries to continue the strong play against one of his favorite opponents. The right-hander is 8-5 with a 4.18 ERA in 17 career games versus the Royals (his most wins against any opponent) and is 4-0 with a 3.35 ERA in his last six starts against them.

Meche is 5-4 with a 4.33 ERA in 12 career games versus the Tigers, to whom he suffered his only loss of this season. He will try to help the Royals snap a six-game losing streak, during which they have been outscored 42-21.

Bonderman is 0-0, 2.57 in three starts this season. Meche has a 3.10 ERA in his first three starts for Royals

Baltimore win
Tampa Bay starter Scott Kazmir will make his eighth career start against the Orioles, as he's 2-2 with a 4.82 ERA - his highest ERA against any division oponent

Bedard is 7-3 with a 2.98 ERA in 15 games, including 14 starts, versus the Devil Rays - the only opponent he's defeated more than three times. Two of those wins have come in matchups with Kazmir. Bedard went 4-1 with a 2.75 ERA in six starts against Tampa Bay last season

Bedard is 2-0, 2.77 in his last two starts. Kazmir is 1-1, 4.95 in his first three '07 starts.

Orioles won four of their last five games. Devil Rays are 1-4 in game following a win this season.

LA Angels win
Lackey (2-1, 2.04 ERA) has dominated Oakland lately. He allowed only one run and seven hits in seven innings of a 2-1 win over the Athletics on April 7 to win his fourth straight start over them.

Over that stretch, the right-hander has allowed just three runs for an 0.87 ERA and has struck out 32 in 31 innings. Lackey is 7-1 with a 1.61 ERA in his last nine starts against the A's and 4-0 with a 1.59 ERA in five starts at McAfee Coliseum since Aug. 9, 2005.

Oakland's Dan Haren opposes Lackey for the second time this season, after being the hard-luck earlier this month. Haren allowed two runs - one earned - and six hits in seven innings.

The right-hander has gone 1-4 with a 4.14 ERA in six starts against the Angels since the start of last season, and is 2-5 with a 4.58 ERA in eight starts against them lifetime.

Willis is 3-0, 3.79 in three starts, with Marlins outscoring foes 28-11 in the three games. Willis (3.32 ERA) has a good chance of getting a fourth win this year by beating the Mets. He has a 11-2 with a 2.02 ERA in 16 career starts against New York, his most wins over any opponent and lowest ERA versus any NL club.

Florida is second in the majors in both runs per game (5.58) and batting average (.292), and is first in OPS with a .842 percentage.

Tonight Im going with two bets slightly different from normal. Im going with half with most runs scored. This is in the expectation that the starters should keep the scoring low even if the bullpens give it up or the starter falls apart around the 6th. An alternative to playing the Overs/Unders line.

Options are 1st 4 1/2 innings, rest of the game or tie.

NYM (Maine) @ FLA (Willis)

Maine is 1-0 , 1.54 ERA for the season so far. Hopefully tonight he'll be more the Maine we saw in his first game. In his opener he allowed just 1 hit in 7 innings against the Cardinals.LTO he allowed 5 hits and 2 runs over 4 2/3 innings. Two runs isnt bad seeing he also walked 6 runners.

Willis is 3-0, 3.32 ERA. D-Train has dominated the Mets down the years. He's 11-2 with a lifetime 2.02 RA against them. Its the worst time to face him too as his April lifetime record currently stands at 12-1, 2.49 ERA.

MIN (Silva) @ SEA (Hernandez)

Silva is 0-1, 0.77 ERA. Silva has been unlucky with his W/L record. In his loss he got no run support and in the no decision he left the game leading but the bullpen blew the lead before MIN finally won. To help him out, Seattle have one of the lowest run productions in the majors so far.

Hernandez is 2-0, 0.00 ERA. This guy is phenomenal!! Two games, 17 innings, 0 runs and only 3 hits. To go along with that he's struckout 18. If he carries on like this it's hard to see when a number other than 0 will appear in the L column. Poor run support and the bullpen look like the only things that can stop him picking up the win in most of his games.

Oh dear. D-Train seems to have forgotten when he's playing and who he's playing. Mets already 4-0 up and he hasnt managed an out yet!!!

Both bets losers. I certainly put the curse on poor Hernandez too. He gave up 2 hits, 2 walks and 3 runs for 1 out during only 1/3 inning. He did leave the game so early due to elbow stifness though which may explain it.
