Default MLB: June 12th picks

Detroit - Chicago White Sox under 9.5

Though he hasn't received a decision in his last three games, Rogers has posted a 1.29 ERA in that span, lasting at least seven innings in each outing. On Saturday, he allowed three runs and five hits in an 8-4 home win over Cleveland. Rogers aims to turn in a similar performance while trying to avoid a third straight loss to the White Sox for the first time in his career. The left-hander is 16-10 with a 4.45 ERA in starting 32 of his 56 appearances versus Chicago. He was reached for seven runs and seven hits over four innings in an 11-0 road loss on April 13.Since joining the Tigers in 2006, Rogers is 1-0 with a 1.00 ERA in three home starts versus the White Sox.

Buehrle is coming off of one of his best starts of the year, limiting the Twins to one run and seven hits over eight innings in an 11-2 home victory on Saturday.Buehrle is 13-8 with a 3.07 ERA in 25 appearances versus the Tigers, including 7-5 with a 3.28 ERA in 15 games at Detroit. At Comerica Park on April 6, he gave up two runs - one earned - and seven hits in seven innings of a 13-2 victory.

Under is 10-3-1 in Buehrles last 14 road starts vs. Tigers.
Under is 39-17-3 in the last 59 meetings in Detroit

Houston - Milwaukee under 8.5
Moehler faced the Brewers on May 31, allowing three runs and six hits in five innings in a 4-1 loss. He is 3-7 with a 4.31 ERA in nine starts and nine relief appearances versus Milwaukee. The right-hander is 2-1 with a 2.50 ERA in his last three starts. He is coming off his best outing of the season, giving up two hits while striking out five in seven shutout innings in a 6-1 win over St. Louis on Friday night.

The Brewers will counter with Ben Sheets (6-1, 2.62), who is 2-0 with a 1.52 ERA in his last four starts. He allowed one run and five hits in six innings as Milwaukee lost 6-4 at Colorado on Friday night.Sheets is 1-0 with a 3.00 ERA in two starts versus the Astros this season, and 11-8 with a 3.71 ERA in 26 career outings against them

Under is 9-3-1 in Astros last 13 overall.
Under is 10-4-1 in Astros last 15 games vs. a right-handed starter.
Under is 4-1-1 in Astros last 6 home games vs. a right-handed starter.

Under is 5-0-1 in Moehlers last 6 starts overall.
Under is 4-0 in Moehlers last 4 home starts.

NY Mets - Arizona under 7
Santana improved to 2-0 with a 0.82 ERA and a .162 opponents batting average in three career starts against the Diamondbacks, striking out 24 in 22 innings in that span. Haren, meanwhile, has not received a decision in two starts and one relief appearance versus New York, posting a 2.87 ERA in 15 2-3 innings. Though both players pitched well in that last meeting, New York and Arizona could use longer outings out of them after combining to use nine relievers Wednesday. Santana, 2-1 with a 2.18 ERA in his last three starts, has yet to pitch over 7 2-3 innings this season. The left-hander gave up two runs and seven hits while striking out five in six innings against San Diego on Friday night, but lost 2-1. The Mets fell for just the second time in Santana's last 10 starts.

Default Re: MLB: June 12th picks

Boston (Lester 4-3, 3.50 ERA) - Baltimore (Guthrie 3-6, 3.40 ERA)
In his last outing Lester limited Tampa to eight hits and only one run. He had five strike-outs and didn't walk anyone. In two games against the Orioles this season, both in Baltimore, he allowed five runs and twelve hits in eleven innings played. That was in Baltimore. In last four starts at home, Lester is 3-0 with 0.61 ERA and is 3-0 with 3.41 ERA in five starts against Baltimore.
Guthrie has almost the same record this year against Boston as Lester against Baltimore: sixteen hits and five runs in twelve innings played. He is 1-0 with 2.61 ERA in five starts against Boston.
This could be pretty tight pitching match up but I'm counting on Boston's powerful line up and bullpen to do the job.
Pick: Boston Red Sox RL

Colorado (Reynolds 1-3, 5.24 ERA) - San Francisco (Sanchez 5-3, 3.70 ERA)
Sanchez is dog again? Against Reynolds? I'll take it.
In his last start Sanchez blanked the Nationals. He allowed only four hits and walked two with four strike-outs. In two starts against the Rockies this year he allowed thirteen hits and four runs in twelve innings played. He is 3-0 with 2.05 ERA in his last four starts.
Reynolds will have his first appearance against the Giants. In his last start against Milwaukee he allowed four hits and two runs while walking two and strike-out none. He pitched six innings and threw only 73 pitches.
So, I'm looking for one run more.
Pick: San Francisco Giants ML

What do you think dude?
