He was outstanding again on Sunday, yielding one unearned run and five hits while striking out seven in seven innings, but not factoring in the decision of a 4-3 loss at Florida. Haren has dominated the Padres in four career games, posting a 1-0 record with a 1.17 ERA. He won his only start against them this year, yielding three hits in seven innings of a 9-0 victory on April 18.

The Padres are losers of 14 of their last 16 games and are owners of the worst record in baseball, as they were outscored by a combined 12-1 margin in losing their last two games at Colorado.
Baek has lost his last two starts by allowing 10 runs and 16 hits with 12 strikeouts in 11 1-3 innings. He was reached for four runs and eight hits in five innings of a 4-2 loss to Seattle on Saturday.
