You risked your tournament with top pair mid kicker, he risked his tournament with top pair low kicker - is there that big a difference? (ok you were the aggressor too)

He's short stacked and getting desperate and hits top pair against a limping BB (in a freeroll).....

EDIT Am I reading the emoticons right that ***** is Aliando? If so, he's a fecking Muppet morl and I sympathise totally

No it wasn't aliando but it was a pl'er........name hidden , as although im upset and pee'd off, i dont want to upset anyone personally

Re: kicker and aggressor......i had top pair, mid kicker, with a gutshot str8 draw and 300 more chips than the other player , i know i wouldnt have made the call if the shoes were on the other foot....

As I said, I can see it being tough to lay down, as a short stack against a limping BB Though agree, I'd much rather have been in your shoes ....

Just reading the T&C - if the Japanese guy (assuming his location is real) desn't come over, then it looks like TLF will get the seat no matter what

Quote:
Any player who wins any of the promotions has the right not to participate and agrees to forfeit the prize. There is no cash alternative. In this instance, Virgin Poker will usually pick the runner-up as the replacement, subject to their total discretion.

Cheers lads, thanks for your support. Was looking bleak at one stage but hung in there, benefited from chipleader giving me all his small blinds. Hopefully the first of many for the forum, see you in Birmingham for a PL piss up!

Does that mean they have to keep completely quiet about the fact that
they were only the runner-up?
