Steve's Q10s beats Hen's 55 with a Q on the turn. Steve wins the main event and gets a chip set and a trip to London for the final where its rumored first prize may be a Carribean holiday

2nd STT and Hilly's K10s all in is called in an instant by Steve's AA. With a 10 8 10 flop Hilly is dancing around the table until a 3rd Ace appears on the river to knock him out . Hilly goes off to the outhouse to kick a few things around and then does the only thing left to do.......

My head has just stopped spinning after I had a two pints of....tea.
What a great night!
Most of all, big thanks to Washy for inviting me to the game .
Great seeing PL buddies, meeting Steve and Gary and of course the legend himself Hilly .
Shuffle up and deal.
Seating players put me straight down to earth . Washman to the left and Hilly to the right. Great .
With starting chips 2.5k and starting blinds 25/50 going up every 15 minutes, there was not much time for funning about.
First hand and I felt Gary's pain his 99 spanked by AA
Play badly KK (versus mr T) with the river showing 23456 on the table and of course split. Hilly's raised second time and I'm looking down on 1010. He was not happy to fold his hand to my all in .
Then card dead and every time I had medium hand, big stacks were re raising each other .
Got to the point, I was going to be all in next two hands, so happy days when I see JJ the very next hand and doubled up with 5 of us left.
I dont know whats happened next, but few hands later I'm HU with Steve . And the best is I have 900 with blinds 500/1k . First hand double up. Second hand double up and when Steve pushes all in next hand, I'm very happy to do the same looking at my 55. With his Q10 he spikes 10 on the turn .
Well done Steve. Solid performance .

Well what can I say, I think everyone has paid tribute to my first hand and outon 99, but it was a race, no regrets, well played Al.
Many thanks to Richard and all the guys last night that made the evening very enjoyable, especially the invite from Richard, I guess he was
not so impressed about the thug I brought along with me, forgot to tell you guys he's only been playin for a week. Well done to the champ, not only winning the main game but the next one too, not bad for a guy who went out with an empty wallet and came home with it full.
I intend making an offer to all you guys for last nights warm welcome to come over my place for a home game, I'll send out the invites via email in the next week or so, I hope you can all make it.

To complete this the poker player mag has just fell through the door and boy what a write up from the Gravesend game, I think the best so far
