Default Hilly's Home Game

Not heard anything from Hilly, so am assuming the game is not going to happen this weekend. As soon as I hear anything I'll give everyone involved a call.

I was chasing SB after affair with Hungarians on the FT. Spoke to 4 people over last week, but today they spanked me with €50.
Thank you Sporting .

Unfortunately, gazza is working on Monday night, so Gary (eyesallin) is bringing his son along, who also plays - I've checked his birth certificate to make sure he's over 18

The very tasteful table (see P69 of this month's PokerPlayer) turned up today, just waiting for the other bits and pieces which will probably turn up tomorrow Have to say despite the colour, the table is fantastic, and very big - you don't realise until you get it into a normal sized room!!

Looking forward to another great night of poker and beer

just got home.
very enjoyable game but no pl winner unfortunatelyhen was best placed in 2nd.the good thing was hilly was 8th.

i ended up 4th after being crippled by my 8s vs alans queens ,out on next hand with pocket 5's vs 2 others both with aces on a ace ace board.

did manage to get the best move tho ,big raise from utg +1 with 72 os, had to be done really

a very enjoyable time had by all .many thanks washy, hilly and poker player.

oh and expect most of the article to be erics qoutes ,he was on top form tonight

had a great evening, off to a flyer with pocket aces 1st hand and gary (the guy washy was hu with to win this home game) had pocket 9`s,so he was 1st to go out, maintained the chip lead right through to the final 3 helped out by calling my all-in with his 8`s against my queens,
played 2 hands badly,1 was where i had a/7 and called 3k of my stack of 12k with the chance to take 2 out inc.the eventual winner, but he had ak,then with just 3 of us left, heniek had less than 1 blind left and was bb,i am utg with kj and shove, steve (the guy who was gary`s son) called in a flash with queens,,and i`m gone in 3rd.

heniek made a bit of fight back with his hungarian style but to no avail,,

it was good to meet all the guys again and of course hilly

Another cracking night

The usual faces there plus Gary and Steve. Gary was the guy that Washy ended up doing a deal with for the eventual winner to attend the others game. There are 2 decent guys andhappily joined in with the drunken banter. I know Gary is deffo a member on here now so hopefully he will pop in and say hello

Garry was unfortunate to enough to go out first hand when his 99 met Al's AA First fooking hand !!!!!!!!

I tried making a play for move of the day while raising Hilly's BB whilst holding 72o but the swine moved all in and after some thought I eventually bottled it and folded . A while later Ben does manage to carry it off against Washy . I think Hilly was rather amused at the various 72o stories and its magical powers and must have thought "WTF have I come into here"

Hilly out next, cant remember how followed by myself after a big raise with AK and Al then raising me all in and showing KQ only to spike a Q on the river

Eventually got down to Hen and Steve HU with Hen not even having 1x BB but after some fantastic vodka fuelled Hungarian style play he came back to almost level in chips. Deciding hand saw Steve with Q10 and Hen with 55 and a Q on either the turn/river and Steve the derserved winner, well played mate

Plenty of pictures taken and once Steve forwards them to me I will post them up

The night finally ended (after some more STT's) with me dropping Hilly off at a garage in East London about 0330 after a conversation with one of my mates on night duty and he was given a ride home by MET CABS

Another cracking night and GL to Steve who is now off to London to play in the live final and once again thanks to Rich for his hospitality.

A great night again

Don't remember too much after the first game thanks to hen's vodka , but I know I had a good time!!

Alans aces on the first hand brought about the quickest exit in Hillys home games - about 2 minutes was all it took. He was unlucky not to have them again when Hilly was dealing and flipped one over, but his AK was good enough to win the hand anyway.

Uber did me like a kipper with his 72o - thats the second time I've fallen for it

I knocked Hilly out when he moved all in on the button with 66, to come up against my kings in the big blind. I didn't last much longer though after Uber's AT did my AJ.

Well done to Steve for winning the game - hopefully he can go on and win the final

Glad everybody could make it on a Monday - I dread to think what state we'd have been in if the game had been on a Saturday
