First Live Game

At long last i'm going to dive into my first ever live game. I'm going to the Casino Nova Scotia in Halifax, Canada on friday, hopefully going to enter a $50 stt tournament, or multi table tourny, depending on numbers.
Is it compulsry to tip when you cash in?...if so what percentage.
Any other tips would be much appreciated...cheers.

Other than occasional home games, I haven't yet ventured out in to the big wide world of live poker.

Hope it is a rewarding experience - loved the question about how much you should tip when you win - positive thinking, that's the way to do it

Normally tips are given for cash games.

Not sure about MTT's though. With so many dealers that you may get during the course of the event, who do you tip????

Didnt really come for the poker. Met a gorgeous Canadian woman a few years ago who just happens to love poker too... ( Seasons is her nic on sporting odds... if you see her on the tables please tell her online poker isnt fixed... ).

play it slow at first, don't limp. Preium hands only for the first hour. If you get big hands though, don't be scared to play them hard

Had a great time, sadly there were no tournaments running, so we decided to play $1/2 NL cash tables, limited ourselves to $60 each seeing as we very rarely play cash tables. Overall i think we done pretty well, i finished $50 up. My better half had her K/K busted by 2 pair, so she went for a few smokes to cool down and played the slots. The staff and people there were very friendly, as are the people in general here. Looking forward to our next outing, hopefully get in a tournament next time.
