Question Card Rooms In (East) Kent

I know the Kent bunch have bemoaned the lack of facilities down there but I know there is one in Margate (a Circus casino), although I don't know if there is a card room.

I do know that there is a G casino opening in Ramsgate in February that will definitely have a card room.

I don't know how far it is from the M25/Dartford area but I'd guess even at 60 miles away it may still be quicker than going into London.

It might be worth keeping an eye out for events at these places anyway and, given the lack of games available on that side of London I'd imagine it'll be in your interests to support it and help make it successful.

Thanks Andy.
The casino has £10 rebuy on Monday (usually 30 to 50 ppl) and £20 (x3) on Wednesday (with around 15 to 20 ppl). Some sort of cash games can be arranged while tournament lasts. I heard all that on the phone.
Will keep an eye on the new casino .

Cheers Mr V - Ramsgate isn't new is it? (or is this a second one?)

It's down for an event on the live tour too - GUKPT maybe?

I don't know for sure but there is a Retail Park on the edge of town that looks new. Its the one right next to the SAGA Offices.

Its on the Eurokent Business Park and its post code is CT12 5AD (I think).

I haven't been to Ramsgate in years So no good descibing it to me!!

However the existing casino/card room, is I believe on the seafront, so this does sound like a different one

Couldn't find a tour going to Ramsgate But the manchester one is on Ramsgate Road, so wonder if I misread it before ..... though I really did think it was ramsgate.....

Casino gears up for launch night

A poker room and live music are on offer at the new casino

A £5m casino is opening its doors to gamblers in east Kent.
The G Casino, at the Westwood Cross Retail Park, near Broadstairs, has created 100 jobs and replaces another casino elsewhere in the town.
It is equipped with 12 gaming tables, 20 slot machines and a poker room, and will have weekly live entertainment.
Venue director Peter Donnelly promised "a whole new entertainment experience for Kent's residents" with a variety of leisure opportunities also on offer. "We have regular low-stakes tables and learn to play sessions, so whether you have never been to a casino before or are a big player, there is something for everyone," he said. Thursday night's launch will include fire throwers, magicians and live music.

I have played cooler today and started talking to guy from Whitstable.
He told me about the game.
Savoy Snooker Club. They have a £25 freezout once a month, 1st Monday of the month. They get between 20-40 players.
I think we should check that out. 6th of October next game at 8pm. 5k chips , 30 minutes blinds.
Who's up for it?

Well played Ben.
I donked away about 40% of my stack in 1st hand (about which I will write in strategy) and then was struggling. Then at 100/200, there was 3x raise and I pushed all in for 2k with JJ and was called by the raiser with AK. K on the river (which I dealt it myself ) and I was a toast.
Defo up for next one .
