Yes - but be careful, there are 2 Travel Lodges in Nottingham. You want the Riverside one . Some rooms have a pull out bed as well, so a menage a trois is an option.

The Virgin Poker Festival descends on the Dusk Till Dawn poker room in Nottingham on 28th/29th June 2008. After the success of the first two festivals we are really excited about this one. The Dusk Till Dawn is the largest dedicated poker room in the UK so there will be more players for the main event, bigger side events, and more prize money!

First and foremost we have two important requests to ask of you:

1) Please pre-register yourself on the specific Virgin page of the Dusk Till Dawn website : http://www.dusktilldawnpoker.com/join.php?affiliate=virgin (this applies to any guests you may be bringing along as well as it will speed up their entrance to the club)

2) Please don’t forget to bring your photo ID. You won’t be allowed in without it!

The doors at DTD will open at 11am on the Saturday and we request that main event players arrive by 1.15pm. We recommend that players turn up as early as possible to get themselves relaxed and maybe have a drink and meet some of the other players. Like the previous festivals we will be running ‘live play lessons’ for less experienced live event players and of course the popular ‘Nintendo Wii bowling’ tourney will be running too!

Lastly, please feel free to bring your friends along too; this is a fun, sociable event and nobody need feel excluded! Dusk Till Dawn has lots of tables so there will be plenty of side events to keep everybody entertained and it’s fair to say things will be lively at the bar too – the Virgin Poker Festival has beaten weekend bar records everywhere it has been so far!

The Virgin Poker Festival - Main Event

Game - Texas Hold’em No Limit Freezeout (no rebuys)
Buy-In - €150 (no registration on the day)
Players –240 - 270 (TBC)
Prize Pool – approx £30k (£5000 added by Virgin Poker)
Starting Stack – 10,000
Blind Levels – 40 mins

Schedule
- Saturday 28th June
· All players to be seated by 1.45pm.
· Shuffle up and deal at 2pm.
· Play to finish for the day at approximately 2am.

- Sunday 29th June
· All remaining players to be seated by 12.45pm.
· Shuffle up and deal at 1pm.
· Play scheduled to finish at approximately 8-10pm.

Player Bounties
A number a specially selected Virgin guests will have Virgin bounties attached to their heads (not literally) and whoever knocks out a bounty player will win that prize. The bounty players will be announced and introduced at the start of the main event but bounties will include:

• A hot air ballooning trip.
• Rally driving day.

Bad Beat Jackpot
At the Virgin Poker Festival no bad beat story will fall on deaf ears. Any player who suffers a bad beat during the course of the weekend should call over the MC or a member of the Virgin staff to record the sickening moment.

Players losing out despite improbable odds need not despair; if your bad beat is judged the cruelest one of the main event you will receive a tasty consolation prize of 50,000 Virgin Atlantic Flying Club Miles! That’s enough for a return flight to Vegas and a chance to return to winning ways!

Golden Ticket
We encourage players to bring along friends and family to support them and join in with the side events. We are allowing guests to enter their name for the Golden Ticket draw.

The draw for the Golden Ticket will be made at 1.15pm on the Saturday and the lucky winner will have seat for the main event. Entry for the Golden Ticket should be made at the Info Desk between 11am and 1pm.

No Shows

Before the start of the main event, guests of players at the casino who would like to play in the main event are invited to pay £5 to enter a raffle draw to replace no-shows.
The chips of no show players will be blinded away in the normal way for the first 2 levels. After this time the lucky winners of the draw will take over the chip stacks of the no-shows. All the £5 raffle entries will go towards the charity Virgin Unite.


The Virgin Poker Festival - STT Champions Side Event

Game - Texas Hold’em No Limit
When – STT qualifiers all day Saturday from 2.30pm, (MTT final @ 1.30pm Sunday)
Buy-In - £20+£3
Registration – On Saturday from 11am at the Virgin Info desk in the card room.
Prize Pool – TBC

Structure
Throughout Saturday, STT’s will run continuously and as well as each paying out the top three players the winner of each STT will also win entry to an extra MTT on Sunday! We will have 4 tables dedicated to STT’s on Saturday so there should be less waiting time for a game than in previous festivals!


Each STT will have 2000 starting stack, 10 min blinds and will pay out in the following way:

• 1st - £75 + Entry to the Sunday STT Champions MTT.
• 2nd - £45
• 3rd - £30

At 2pm on Sunday the Virgin STT Champions tourney will take place between every player who won an STT on Saturday with the remaining £50 from each STT going in the prize pool.

• Game - No Limit Texas Hold’em Freezout MTT
• Start Time – 1.30pm
• Prize Pool + Payout Structure – To be announced before the event starts.
• Added Value - 50,000 Virgin Atlantic Flying Club Miles to the winner of the tourney.

Registration is open to everyone – players knocked out from the main event, friends, family and DTD members. Players can enter as many STTs as they wish but only one Virgin Champions seat per player is allowed.

The Virgin Poker Festival – Other Stuff

Practise Tables
If you’ve never played live before and you’re a bit worried that you may accidentally break some unwritten live play poker etiquette then turn up a bit earlier on Saturday and we’ll be running some very informal ‘live play classes’.

They’ll be running from midday until 1.15pm and will be focusing on live poker situations that you don’t face online.

Wii Bowling
Virgin has adopted this Vegas craze in its poker festivals and it has proved a big hit!


Throughout both Saturday and Sunday you’ll be able to have a bash at making it on to the leaderboard free of charge with immortal glory for the champion of the weekend – get practising! The leader of each day will win a case of Virgin Wine.

Roll For a Round

Between 6pm to 7pm on Saturday Joe, our friendly poker manager, will be at the bar rolling an enormous foam dice! No, its not ‘just his way of spending a Saturday night’ it’s our bar promo to get everyone in the mood for a fun evening!

Roll a 6 and you’ll get your round for free, a 5 or 4 means half price drinks, a 3 and you’ll pay the normal price and if you roll a 1 or a 2 you’ll pay the full price for your drinks plus £1 for Richard Branson’s charity Virgin Unite.

Heads Up Challenge
Over the course of the weekend you can challenge the Virgin Poker team and some of our friends to a £5 online heads up duel! A score will be kept over the weekend and then we’ll finally know if the customer is always right. All money won by the Virgin team will be donated to Virgin Unite.

Provisional Main Event Payout Structure

The payout will be determined by number of players which is to be confirmed. However we can confirm that the top 10% will be paid out and the winner can expect to take home over £10,000! The top 3 players will be paid in cash on Sunday all other players who win money in the main event will be paid into their Virgin Poker account on Monday 30th June.



Rules
1. All Virgin Poker Festival tournaments will run according to the Dusk Till Dawn card room house rules and the management’s decision is final.
2. Any player not present at the start of play will have two blind levels to turn up. After this time someone from a reserve list of players will take the play of the no-show.
3. Mobile phones are not allowed to be used in the poker area. Any player using their phone will automatically muck their hand.
