Default V points

Does anyone save their Vpoints to airmiles?

I converted some points to airmiles and got double points as it was a promotion period (thanks Morls).

Do they run double points often? think it was december last time.

I used to save my points as miles, and have had 2 flights to vegas out of it. However now the taxes have gone up and fuel costs, the "free" flight to vegas costs 50k miles and £270.....simply not worth it. If you cash the points in you could get a cheaper flight easilly!

The double points conversion was a one off it seems, not been done since.

I put in random dates on Virgin Atlantic and it came up as £302 - I assumed its the same surcharge on all Virgin flights to Vegas

Increase details here - http://www.virgin-atlantic.com/en/gb.../pr280508a.jsp

Cost me £284 for a free flight with 50K V points but the cost without was £1k plus. Its the time of year, in November it'll cost about £40. Thats the time to use them as an upgrade

Can anyone suck up to the nice guys at Virgin and get them to run the double points promotion again? Then I may have enough to get to Vegas!
