Default SPOILER WITHIN Casino Royal - Fluke hands!

Not sure if anyone has brought this up yet, but how unlikley were the hands that were played in the final Poker scene on 007 Casino Royal?

The four players each had great hands and all went all in...
I think the people that dont know a thing about poker would have found it believable..

I guess it would have been an exciting final table to watch if it was real!

Agree Linnie. For someone such as myself who is still trying to learn the basics of Poker, that last round did seem a bit of a fetch. Still exciting though...

Apart from Bond and the bad guy, I never seen anyone else win a round the entire movie

Is there anything in any Bond film that is realistic? why do you expect the poker game to be? lol
I am so tired of seeing this post in forums. Its a film!!! if they were to show a realsitic poker game the film would have been 8 hours long. lol

Hiya Linnie, to the poker bit of PL.

I haven't seen Casino Royale yet. Is there any chance you can remember what the hands were?

I know I've been in a 4-way pot holding AA vs QQ vs JJ vs AK (or KK). The Jacks won.

Plus the other thing is that we (on PL) all know that live poker is fixed () so really these freak hands are more likely to happen in a bricks and mortar card room than online.

Bond won with a straight flush... the bad guy had 4 of a kind (? ), the guy before him had a full house (? ) and the guy before him had a flush (?? ).

Think that's right... totally unbelievable but it is a film!

Ah right.

Thing is in the context of the film (ie a Bond film) that seems fitting. It'd be a bit piss poor if James Bond won with AA vs QQ wouldn't it?

Saying that, which hand IS fitting for James Bond to beat the bad guy with?

Come on, lets hear what you think.

Sorry mate... should have put a spoiler warning somewhere in that post! Besides, I'm working from memory so it may be totally inaccurate!

Lol - they actually had Dr Tom Sambrook (SP?) as a consultant on the film to make the poker scenes realistic!!!!

Id like to add that the guy with the K9s showed his hand first and actually seemed to think it would win jusging by the smug grin on his face. Fud
