Default Poker Million

I'm really looking forward to this tonight. I wasn't happy with last years comp as Modah seemed to fluke his way through his heat and semi and then played ridiculous in the final to win it.

There is some talent in tonights final - Beevers played awesome in the semi's and my hero Howard Lederer will be big favourite but I will be routing for my homey Julian Gardener to take it down, this guy can play with the best of them and he seems more focused this year with good runs at the WSOP and GUKPT and @ 7/2 I'm having a nibble.

As I mentioned in another thread, the adverts and twiddly bits of music and visual filler of London buses do get on your nerves after a while, so I'll be Sky Plussing and starting to watch when I'm out of the 32 Red tourney - about 9:05

Why not show a bit of faith in a fellow PL'er?

I've taken the 4.8/1 about Joe Beevers.

11/4 available on Lederer with certain firms if you fancy the Professor to win.

I know he's short stacked but I fancy Liam Flood to do well.

Lederere has a bad seat with the number 2 stack having position on him -

THink Joe Beevers has a great seat, with 2 of the 3 small stacks after him....

Looking like a recurring nightmare at the moment for Marty Smyth (Smyth 3/1 to be first eliminated with Cox 4/5, Flood 5/1, Beevers 8/1, Gardner 10/1 and Lederer 25/1 over at Stan James). He probably hates that seat six with a vengeance.

Mind you, Ian Cox is getting generally unplayable hands ans has thus far been passive. The odds reflect that and he's into 2/5 now with Smyth 4/1, Beevers/Flood 8/1, Gardner 16/1 and Lederer 33/1.

At the rate their playing, this could finish at 2am with the first elimination after 10pm.

It had to happen. Ian Cox pushes all-in with AcTh, Joe freezes the action with AsKc and Ian is the first man eliminated.

Very little to to separate them right now.

Odds on the second man eliminated from Stan James: Beevers/Smyth 5/2, Flood 11/4, Gardner 9/2 and Lederer 6/1

Outright odds to win from Stan James: Gardner/Lederer 5/2, Flood/Smyth 4/1 and Beevers 5/1.

OOOH!! Howard Lederer out second as his pocket fours fall to Julian Gardner's pocket kings.

Stan James currently only has outright odds: Gardener 6/4, Smyth 9/4, Flood 7/2 and Beevers 9/2.

OHHH!! Liam Flood close to elimination as he calls Joe Beevers' all-in with pocket sixes. Joe's holding pocket twos...the flop has a deuce, and the turn and the river doesn't help Liam. Liam Flood is crippled and Joe Beevers closes in on Marty Smyth's chip-lead.

Liam's automatically all-in next hand against Marty Smyth, and is the third man eliminated.

Probably the craziest player on the night and the one with the most guts, Liam didn't deserve that.

Revised outright odds from Stan James: Smyth 6/5, Beevers 15/8 and Gardner 12/5.

Julian Gardner close to being the fourth man eliminated. The blinds are at 20,000/40,000 and they're bloomin' lethal.

After losing a fair chunk of chips to Marty there was seemingly little way back as Julian wasn't getting the cards but he's back in it as he won an all-in race against Marty Smyth as Julian turned a hearts flush.

Current outright odds at Stan James: Beevers 6/5, Smyth 7/4 and Gardner 5/2
