Default The Poker Blacklist - Places not to play!

PokerRoom.com

As detailed here, MCFC won a trip to Australia, yet had to put up virtually no response from them and eventually paid money out of his own pocket on what was an "all expenses paid trip".

No surprise, that this is a Bwin.com company, their sportsbook is already blacklisted, however we will give them the chance to settle this.

More details here.

PokerRoom.com 2

Oh dear, here we are again.

A guranteed $19k prize money tournament where they decided to take back the prize money after the event.

Now just to make sure I'm not going completely bonkers, I've just been on dictionary.com and it tells me guaranteed means "assured" and "certain" - how strange?

More details here.

Emailed this and the front page where they have exclusive headlines to PokerRoom, their affiliate company and Bwin.com management too.

Amazing what a bit of front page publicity does.

Thanks, but how would Fred feel about you plugging the opposition?

By the way, any plans to get rid of that ******* carpet? Currently the only
good reason for wearing shades while playing online poker.

I've been dissapointed by a few poker sites and at the moment I am only playing Betfred Poker and Pitbull ... One quite the opposite of the other but so far so good

Rosco - Free cash...Only in most PL tournaments you play, I tend to dig deep for you guys, you even take the fluff from my pockets.

SpurMan - As above. Oh and sorry to hear you are still supporting Spurs!

Slapdash - You Muppet! Fred rocks and you know it and we are keeping the carpet just for you.

Penny - At least you know the score!

Yet more complaints about pokerroom.com.

POKERROOM BONUSES NOT BEING PAID 02/16/2007

Players on multiple forums are complaining about PokerRoom.com not paying bonuses that have been properly cleared, of having had to wait for weeks with inadequate response from PokerRoom support. Others complain about Player Points not showing up or being miscalculated. PokerRoom offered the following response, “We are currently experiencing technical problems with regards to player points not updating correctly on player's accounts . . . When they have credited the bonus to your account and the player points have been updated correctly they will inform you via e mail. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter.”

Does PR have a contact at Coral ?

I started qualifying for a GT tournament through qualifiers, started off at the $1 level and had got this up to the $30 + $3 level. No mention of the tokens having an expiration date or anything. Have e-mailed Coral and spoke to customer Services on phone and they advised it was down to Ongame. I said I'd be happy if they just credited my account with the $33, but they say got to wait til I can use the token in the lobby. Problem is not one been there for weeks

Poker.com ( Carbon Poker) should be avoided. When you request withdrawal they insist on their 'verification procedure" which entails faxing your credit card number, sending a copy of it front and back ( unbelieveable but true ), plus a copy of your driving license, passport etc. It is clearly a ploy to deter attempts to withdraw and leave your money locked in their site.

nothing wrong there - thats standard procedure mate. Is it fcuk a "ploy to deter attempts to withdraw and leave your money locked in their site"

Absolute bollox!!

As many will vouch, Internet fraud is rife and this is just making sure. Nothing unforetold and posting this in "poker blacklist" is complete rubbish.

Im tempted to "edit" your "unbelivable but true" comment but will leave it to show others just how silly you are being.

Poker.com is a reputable site and I personally have had no problems with them once verification was complete..

Please ignore this "blacklist" post.

"Standard procedure" - rubbish - how many sites are you in? This is a first for me. I think you protest to much - what's your in interest in carbon poker. How many of Pl members are happy to send copies of the front and back of their credit cards via an Email link? Why don't they ask for this verification when making a deposit ?( because nobody would go on!)Who are you to edit my comments apart from being another moron who can't even type a message without swearing!

Chill baby, just so you have a view from the other side of the fence. This is standard procedure for many if not all rooms and does help to deter fraud. Image your details were stolen, you money used online then the punks withdrew the cash. You would be p*ssed then Fred would be gutted as he has to foot the bill for the losses while your bank covers you.

Surely you can understand the reasoning behind it?

In sending the said poker room the proof shows that you are who you say you are and that you are in possession of the card, it may just be a random spot check?

Dont take it personally and relax, comply and your cash will be sent as soon as.

Failing that head over to Betfred for some smashing fun.

N.B You may be asked for documents to prove who you say you are. If you do not keep up repayments on your loans or other loans secured on your property your home may be repossessed. This of course has nothing to do with poker and has been added for a giggle to lighten the mood of this thread.

Brap brap.

Mansion operate the same policy, and I was alos loathe to send details by EMail, but they did state you only need to show the last 4 digits of your Bank/Credit Card.

I sent what they required and payment was sorted within 2 days.

I think there is more chance of fraud from sending copies of my credit cards via an internet link than any other action. I have contacted my bank and they strongly recommend not doing this. I am already a member of Betfred and dozens of other sites who do not apply this worrying verification procedure when you withdraw.

Betfair will also ask you to send in details, like frisk and Martyn say nothing strange by the request!! More than likely just a spot check...
