I've now settled in back from my jollies and decided to do some work on my new account. I have now played 3 sessions on it from a starting stack of 200 euro and have hit 8k so i am very pleased with that. It's amazing the differences playing under a new name but i will probably return to the mole at the start of the month.

I have also been playing a lot of local live tourneys which i am doing really well in so this can only help in the big events.

Just thought i would check in as i seem to have been away for a while.

What level have you been playing at to achieve that? And what adjustments are you aware of having made to your game (if any) to tackle the lower stakes?

Wow people at this level are just like in casinos absolute muppets... how does he think he is repping the Q or A there... would you say at this level many would try a deceptive move like this with the A or Q or was this call based on you knowing the player as a 1st tier thinker?

I wrote on the last page of this thread how i started building it up. Since then i have been going into bigger games short stacked ( for protection) but instead of running when i double through i stay there as i am used to playing with a big stack in these games anyway. I also look for softer games.

At the lower levels i found it quite easy as the standard is pretty poor. I play the player more than the cards, most players at these lavels only play the cards.

I still can't put my finger on why playing under a different name is easier but i will think about this and try to work out why.

Oh yes many do make deceptive moves, i do, but this one was too obvious no way would he go all in with an A and the story of the hand did not suggest he had the Q.
