| I've had a dreadfull 2 months ( i suppose it had to happen sometime) wouldn't mind so much but the bad beats fairly knock my confidence. I have spoken to quite a few winning players who are saying the same thing, one in particular from Denmark was telling me he felt some of his beats were just unreal so he looked back and analysed his HH the last 100 hands where he was going in as a big favourite he lost 90, usually its the other way around. I found much the same. On the brighter side i seem to be on a good run at the moment at the lower stakes and my hands are holding up so perhaps the worst is over ![]() Also one of the other big players and myself have a little challenge going we both opened a new account and deposited 200 euro on wednesday, i played 2 sessions on it yesterday and i'm now at 2200 euro he is at 1100, we only play for the same amount of time. I have found this to be good for me and my game as it brings back the confidence and it makes me knuckle down a bit more.

| Sorry to hear about your bad run but on the positive side it must be nice to get the 'winning' feeling back again and give you confidence for going forward ![]() As Glceud said, if people don't know you it makes it a whole lot easier!! |

Apart from what you said The other benefit i have is i have played at all the levels, so i understand the game at each one, its a lot easier than climbing up into the unknown.

Especially as from what I read you didn't have strict bankroll management initially?

BR management is all about how you feel personally i don't think there should be a black and white rule on it, so long as you can afford to lose then its down to yourself how much risk you want to take.

![]() I think thats everyones problem the more they win (no matter whether its poker of chess!) the more confidence they get until you invariably get way too confident / cocky. I assume there are many people that have got to your level in the past and have started losing but have been too stubborn to drop down to get their game back. Nice one ![]() PS are you going to the PL meet in Edinburgh?!

| hya GotaFancy, yes thats the one thanks, I see now its just below on this page, i was searching years back, plus the site is really big and I didnt know where to start but thanks again, its a very good read, and can take you into the mind of a mid/high stakes cash player, I play cash and tornys, my cash games range from 50c/1$nl to$2.50/$5 and have found succsess at grinding 10 seater games out, but the real money is in the short handed games this is why i am trying to study the moles game, although his game is attack and not grinding that will take alot of ajusting to, ok thanks again for your help |

| I think trying to copy the mole is very difficult - he's lucky in that he's naturally gifted at poker - he's only ever deposited $50 once (I think ) and turned that into his millions!! He doesn't study poker, he doesn't analyse his game - he just instinctivly knows the right thing to do - instinct isn't something that can be copied - and for the rest of us it will take a lot of study and hard work to get to half the level he's at..... |

I have done this over the years and studyed many players, mostly the winners at the level I have been playing, some names that some people might know over the years that I have studyed erdnase---------- the old VC site, cash player started off $1/2 nl when i played with him over 2 years on the old VC site 5/6 years back, he had moved up to the $10/20 one of the best tight aggresive players i have seen, 2 playeres I really like at the momment are currently playing on Betfair one is ----PayMyBill if I did not know better I would say erdnase and PaymyBill was one of the same, the other on betfair is Rael--- mainly a full table player very tight player, but get it right 9 times out of 10 and makes a steady income 2 totaly different Ladbrokes players i like are one---Dinrosin mainly torny player but gives the impression to most playeres that he is loose and very aggresive and reckless but I have studyed him for a while now, and I dont agree he can get away from 99% of his hands and usually plays a robotic 2 and a half times blind raise in position 3/4 times out of 9 for the first 2/3rds of his game, the other player is ---Topppo a very tight torny player but a very big winner always makes his moves at the right time and 95% of the time if your in a pot with him you will be behind, so I enjoy studying good players, i do this by playing my own games and watching there games, it has paid off for me small time, I am a winner at poker, cash and tornys, enough to have good holidays and renew cars and pay big bills ect but my aim is to get a decent bankroll say 100k lol like most of us, but I will get there i hope lol, gl.
