First session of tonight on PokerKings, Bought in for $200

Couple of bad beats both on the river droped me down to $88 so topped back up to max buy in, not an awful lot of action after that but built it back up a little and ended session $64 down.

Not played any cash games for over a week now due to work

decided on a quick session tonight - 20 minutes

Bought in for $200

Not played online for what seems like a couple of weeks now

Saturday night was at the Grosvenor in Newcastle for the PL meet and after our own poker tourny myself,Hen and Dave488 decided to sit down at the 2 cash tables running. Both were £1/£2 tables and it seemed as though there was 1 table of totally mad idiots and 1 table with decent players on it and had a dealer. Guess what table I was sat on,yep the one with decent players

Bought in for the maximum £100 and played really tight, all the others were on first name terms and there was some loose play but generally seemed a decent bunch of players.

Notable hands for me were JJ and put in 5xBB raise, 2 callers and flop comes K1010 and after a £25 raise from one of them i folded and chap that won the hand had A10

Few hands later I'm dealt JJ again and dont want 2 callers this time so raise it to £20. Get 1 caller and flop comes down something like 10 6 2 rainbow. He pushes all in and after a short pause I call and he gets all sulky and says something like "well I guess your ahead then" as he flips over 88. Nothing on the turn or river and a nice little pot for me . He was only a young un, about 20 or so and when I had flipped over my JJ he was like ffs etc and after the hand kept shaking his head as if he was pi$$ed off with me , so I asked him. He started moaning about my pre flop raise etc so I reminded him that after about an hours play it was only the 3rd hand i had played so maybe he should have thought that just maybe I had a decent hand, couple of the other regulars laughed and told him to grow up.

Picked up a couple of small amounts with preflop bluffs.

Look down and see AA Another tight player raises it to £12 and I reraise to £25. Everyone folds round to him and he calls. Flop comes down 10 2 4 rainbow and he raises £50 so I push all in. He thinks about it for ages then says he know's he's behind but as he's put so much in already he's going to call. He turns over AQ and nothing on turn and a Q on river give me another decent pot .

Lost a few quid later when my KK66 was beaten by KK1010

Ended up cashing out £250

That's my first "proper" live cash game session (when i say proper I mean sober-ish ) and I really enjoyed it, was a good table and I kept my play pretty tight, so much better than playing on line and I'm deffo now right up for some more

I will let Hen tell you about his crazy table with the mad chinese geezers, going all in with Q6 etc
