Default Trip Q's in 5 card draw?

I'm well aware I'm probably the only person who plays it, but in case anyone wants to offer an opinion...

Background: 15 mins into a tourney, I doubled up first hand when my AA33x beat JJ66x. Haven't really played anything much since that hand, just picking up the odd blind.

No major reads on anyone.

JadedJ: discards 1 card [3s]
Dealt to JadedJ [Qh Qc Ks Qd] [Ah]

What do I do now, and how's my play been so far?

i would raise pot as you have an A and a K so it is unlikely he has trips A or K's

of course he might have filled his lower trips and you are beat - but I would take that risk - you must at least call IMHO

PD - could you have raised more? it would have made post draw play much simpler

I think he has you on either a draw (flush/str) or 2 pair, given your on card throwaway - and believes his trips are good - I actually like the one card chuck

Can't add any more than what Damo says so far.

If you look at his play, he's discarded 2 cards also, so unless he's made a real loose raise preflop, he's got trips also. Considering you have an A & K in your hand, as robilaruk has said, it's unlikely that he's got a higher set. There is the risk he's filled a boat, but it's a definite call IMO.

Nice to see some discussion on the strategy of other games of poker

Edit: Also notice you've discarded 1 card, i really like this play, it's potraying 2 pair, so in addition to my comments above; i think a raise is definitely an option.

Nice to see most people agree with me here

I raised - he called - and flipped over sodding triple Ks!!

Still think it was the right play though, but was gutted when I saw them
