I did it with centrebet. I was keen on the draw and Adelaide for value, but wasn't quite sure the best way to stake it. In the end decided this looked the best way to do it. Don't recall the exact amount but it was $19.XX

Adelaide have only ever lost to the Jets once, and they hammered them 5-1 in Round 3 at home.
The Jets have lost both times at home to Adelaide and this may be another one for them.

Newcastle have won their last 2 games after a winless stretch dating back to last season so confidence will be high, but they have only won the one home game in their last 8, and that was against the bottom of the table Knights.
Adelaide appear to have a good away record but the fact is they have only scored the one goal away and that was the strike that one the game for them against Melbourne last week.

Adelaide have more shots on goal than the Jets and also convert more often. Both sides have the offensive power to score goals and may come down to who has the better defence on the night, that would be Adelaides for mine.

Adelaide are capable of scoring in every time range in the game, especially in the first 30 minutes of each half. The Jets can concede early in the game, and towards the end of each half. An early Adelaide goal is on the cards within 30 minutes can be gleaned from the above figures.

Adelaide are boosted by the return of Qu and Cornthwaite, but will really miss Nathan Burns up front and Angelo Costanzo down back. Newcastle have the services of Paul Okon who is returning from injury and he will add more stability to the Jets defence.

This is a danger game for Adelaide with the Jets aiming for three straight and having the quality on the pitch to cause some danger. Carle has been brilliant for the Jets lately, and along with Griffiths and Bridge they are capable of scoring here and causing some problems if Adelaide take them too easily. Qu is a welcome Addition to Adelaide and will offset the loss of Burns and make their attack all the more impressive. I believe Costanzo is Adelaide’s biggest loss as he has been the stability in the midfield/back half and he will be sorely missed.

While I believe Newcastle is some chance tonight I am a bit like Ads and can’t resist the $2-55 on offer for Adelaide, it is way over the odds. Adelaide are a better side and I don’t think the jets will get hammered this time and think there will only be a goal or so in it. I am hopeful of Adelaide getting away to a good start and am opting for them HT:FT.

BET
ADELAIDE STRAIGHT OUT TO WIN @ $2-55
ADELAIDE/ADELAIDE HT:FT DOUBLE @ $4-50
ADELAIDE CORRECT SCORE 2-1 @ $10:00
OVER 2.5 GOALS @ $1-93

As for Melbourne, i'm thinking about under 2 3/4 goal. With NZ will not score (i hope..) and their 'brilliant' defense i think it will be the best best for this match. What do you think?
Possibly, and the fact that Adelaide have only scored once this season away from home

Hopefully that will change tonight! The Jets had a good win against Queensland last week and their defence is starting to play better, so maybe the bookies are showing them some respect, as i hope Adelaide do as they outscore them by one goal.

Something in my head told me last night that melbourne would win 3-0, but then the fella in the other side of my head said 2-0, so I have backed both cos they are good odds. From what Miguel has said a little eariler, there may be problems in bictory land this week, and they may just go through the motions and just opt for the win, and not the kill. have to wait and see i suppose. Under 2 3/4 is a chance, but so is over. I am not too sure really, I was thinking to Melbourne to score at least two goals, and hopefully 3.

Hope that helps, because i don't want to decide for you. go with what your instincts tell you and i will cheer it on for you

I can't see the knights scoring tonight at all, they are shite at the moment. I think Victory will give them a good spanking over there

I see them breaking down the defence more so in the second half rather than the first...IMO it would be a good bet to have the second half having more goals scored. currently avaialable on centrebet @ $2.25

As long as they keep winning Ads it is a good little sidebet to have to keep an interest over the whole round for low stakes

the knights best defender is still injured......he hasn't played all season.
I think nevin will play everyone behind the ball & defend the whole match for some points...

I think everyone agrees that the knights perform better at home defensively so I can't see this match being any different. I thik everyone also agrees that Melbourne have far more class on paper than the knights.

IMO I feel that nevin will use the same tactics that he has all season re: attacking options. His star striker Rodriguez is out for the season so is Devine ( Worst player in the A League IMO he is shite). They are playing hickey (fast & has no skills) & Casey (Don't really know much about him)up front, who are not known strickers. IMO I think they will defend for as long as they can & try to sneak a goal playing long ball tactics against the run of play.

You are spot on as the Knights will try to shutdown Melbourne rather than do anything else. NZ have got hold of South Melbourne striker Fernando de Moraes to try and bolster their attack, he along with Casey are considered the Knights new attack.

I'm leaning towards Melbourne by 2 goals

also backed Melbourne to score first @ $1.33
second half to be the higest scoring of the match @ $2.25 all with centrebet.

Both are small wagers just for fun.

Fernando de Moraes is not in the starting lineup though so it will be upto casey & hickey to score... I can't see that happening.

It is going to be the Brazillians causing havock against an at times Knights shady defence....
