| Quick Summary of Round 14 matches Sydney/Queensland Draw last time out for these two and the Roar take it right up to Sydney as a rule, and with Damian Mori in the side, makes this an interesting game, and hard to pick at this stage as the Roar are a very attacking side. Mariners/Adelaide Home team hard to beat at home, but without Mori they may struggle to score as they did before Mori came to the club. Adelaide are on the rise but not so good away from home, but defensively they are very good, just scored the 4 goals away though. Perth/Knights Could only select the home team here, you would need to be on some very good drugs to even entertain the thought of the Knights doing anything but lose. Melbourne/Jets The home team have a few injury concerns and may be missing about 3 good players, and the Jets could not have picked a better time to face the Victory. One would think the home team, but it depends who is out for them. The Jets are very capable of scoring goals. |

| Not exactly now But he will be on Saturday night when a travelling Adelaide face Central Coast Mariners at CCM's home ground. The Mariners are unbeaten at home this season but have lost a sriker(Damian Mori) who has kicked 6 goals in their last eight games. I would be expecting a large crowd to the game just to see Romario play. Adelaide plays it's next three games at home where they will get a significant crowd boost one would think. It's great for the A League to get a player of Romario's calibre to the A League, and be interesting what he thinks of the standard. Romario is to play four games for Adelaide as part of his guest stint. |

| From Adelaide's offical website - news dated 15.11: "Brazilian superstar Romario will arrive in Adelaide on Monday (20.11 - yes, he arrived indeed) to begin his four week contract with Adelaide United. The deal, that will see Romario play four games for Adelaide United commencing with the Round 14 clash against the Central Coast Mariners in Gosford followed by three games at Hindmarsh Stadium, is the biggest news of the Hyundai A-League this season and will attract worldwide media to Adelaide United’s progress. Since he was in Adelaide with the touring Miami FC back in mid October, Romario has been spending time with his personal trainer in preparation to getting himself right and in peak condition for his stint with United. Romario is closing in on 1,000 career goals and has made it clear that he is committed to playing his part in helping Adelaide United stay near the top of the table. After playing a season with Miami FC in which he scored 22 goals, the 1994 World Player of the Year still knows how to hit the target and is adamant that he will be here to score goals and help The Reds succeed." ![]() |

| Just for interest... I managed to get the missus to go away for a week with the kids to visit her family and did it in a week where I am covering other people at work all weekend...Now how stupid is that??? So I am basically working all weekend and it will be all work and no play This morning I have a Uni exam and this afternoon I am working 2pm till 9pm so won't be able to watch the game as it starts around 8pm I think. Not sure how much I will be able to post today but see what I can do as far as stats go for the Sydney V Queensland game to assist you punters out there. I am probably leaning towards a settled Sydney side tonight with all their good players in and coming off a great win last week against Adelaide. I am also very wary of Queensland as they have super striker Damian Mori on their list now, and considering the Roar lead the League on shots for goal and Mori has to be a big chance to get on the end of one or two chances along the journey. |

Most of the A League games are played outside of cricket hours and it shouldn't have much effect. The Ashes are live on free to air tv too all over Australia. Are you being tongue in cheek when you say Australia fights to win the Ashes? Not much of a fight at the moment Only a matter of time from what I have seen so far ![]() | |

| Sydney vs Queensland Well what to make of this match? Sydney arent playing great football at the moment but they still seem to be getting results which is kinda scary because when they get all these injured players back and they start playing their best football, they will be very hard to stop. Queensland started off this season on fire but that fire has been estinguished somewhat as they have only won 1 of their past 9 matches and taken only 1 point of a possible 15 in their past 5 games. This poor form has lead to their manager stepping down and former National manager Frank Farina taking over the reigns last weekend. They will find their feet again under Farina i am positive of that, but not sure if it will happen tonight. Queenslands main concern is converting chances into goals and they have so many chances, infact they are the team which has the most shots and now that they have signed goalscoring machine Damien Mori, they now have somebody who can convert all those chances into goals. He is pure class is Damian Mori and he proved that in his short stint at Central Coast. Sydney actually have a pretty good record over Queensland and beat them 3-1 away earleir this year away from home, plus its also worth mentioning that Sydney are the only team to have scored in each game played this season. As far as team news goes, Queensland have pretty much a full team to choose from without too many injury concerns. Yuning Zhang will make way for new recruit Damien Mori. Simon Lynch is injured for Queensland however and he is a big loss for them as he is their main goalscorer, but Mori will compliment him. Ante Milicic also has some doubt over a knock he got last week but he should be fit to line up tonight. Sydney who have been injury depleted in recent times had a few players come back last week and they are looking dangerous again now as captain Steve Corrica is back and playing like a superstar. Any team that can leave players like Alex Brosque & Sasho Petrovski on the bench are always going to be dangerous and I think as far as squad depth go, Sydney have Queensland here. Sydney are paying $1.75 at Centrebet which isnt too bad value for a game Sydney should win. Sydney on the -1 European Handicap is paying $3.20 and i believe they can win this by more than 2 goals. 2-0 or 3-1 are scorelines im looking at. Another bet that stands out is the Sydney/Sydney HT/FT because looking at the stats, in 13 games this year Sydney have lead at half time in 8 of them while Queensland have only lead at half time 1 out of 13 which is a worrying trend. Sydney/Sydney pays $2.85 which is awesome. David Carney is a player who has really impressed me in recent weeks, he is a highly attacking player and at $8.50 to score first he represents some good value as a small bet for interest sakes. So to recap on some selected bets, take a closer look at the following: Sydney to win at $1.75 Sydney -1 EH at $3.20 Sydney/Sydney at $2.85 David Carney to score first at $8.50 Correct Scores of 2-0 & 3-1 at $7.00 and $12.00 Good luck those betting tonight ![]() |

| Sydney FC Vs Queensland Roar
The above figures show that Sydney has a fairly good head to head record against Queensland, winning 3 and drawing 2 from six matches. The Roar have been held goaless twice and have only scored multiple goals once, and Sydney has managed to win away against Queensland twice, and scoring 5 goals total in both games.
Sydney have a sterling record at home and have only lost to Melbourne and Adelaide in recent times. They rarely lose to any of the lower teams at home, and while the Roar wouldn’t be classed as lower, they are definitely a rung below Melbourne and Adelaide. Queensland away have quite a good record and they also have a very good goals for and against record. Their two losses were to the Knights and Melbourne, and they generally give a good account of themselves away. Goals Per Shot
