I saw 1.77 for Stirling on betbase. If i could get that sort of price then i would stick some on. A wee early season midweek get the heart pumpin kinda bet as i reckon thats a great price. Best i can see is 1/2 which might need another similar priced selection to make it worth it to me as im chasing losses now for the season. I'm a pro :glasses

Can't take any credit for spotting it but Gretna are 4.20 @ betandwin. At least they were last night and I've had a nice piece of that. Way overpriced. 6/4 would be more accurate in my opinion given Gretna's squad and ambition. They'll be keen to show they have intentions above winning Division 3. Morton are still recovering from last season's terrible finish and Gretna are a club on the up. Get on whilst you can.

William Hills obviously havent noticed what a terrible side Raith Rovers have put together over the summer, every single player thats been brought in are from semi-pro French pub teams. I've yet to read match reports but it looks asthough Stranny are still flying after winning the third division, and look to be well priced at home against Raf.

I think after the first couple of games form is starting to show itself and the usual suspects are again the teams to follow. St. Johnstone should see off Alloa, who were murdered 3-0 at Stranraer, despite going down 1-0 themselves at Airdrie. They will be very strong at home and with Michael Moore and Ryan Stevenson up front I fancy them to win with a bit to spare. 1/3 isn't the greatest price however Hamilton - I've was on them on Saturday to see off Raith, as many others were and they obliged with a nice 2-0 win. An important factor is there new plastic pitch, which I feel will give them a real advantage this season over others. Again at home, against Ayr who went down 1-0 at Dumbarton on Saturday, they should win this one. 8/13 seems a very fair price. Two other home 'bankers' are Berwick (against the lowly Elgin) and Falkirk (home to Montrose) Berwick, who had a superb 2-1 win over league favourites Morton on Saturday will be too good for Elgin who are usually terrible on the road, depsite a 2-0 win @ Stenhousemuir on Sat, but are moving up a level to play far superior opposition. Falkirk are playing at there brand new stadium and will want to start with a flourish and there 3rd division oppenents have already lost twice this season with both games away. 1/3 and 1/4 respectively are reasonable prices. Good luck for those having a punt

I'll be on the Ayr personally Henchy as i reckon if things had went dif the last 2 games of the season Ayr would have been evens for this one. I dont see to much of a differance between them and Ayr like a good away midweek cup-tie. I'll have to back them as i see them as a bit of value. I aint doing to well with my value shots so far this season. Hamilton weren't great shakes themselves on Saturday from what ive read and i beleive the pitch aint gonna be too much of an advantage. Aye i like the 3/1 on Ayr Henchoz. Alloa are bad and are missing 3 key players. They seemed to get it together slightly seconfd half on saturday before conceding a few. Could have been 3-0 at ht though. You'd expect St Johnstone to do the business but i dont know about chancing 1/3 shots midweek. Aye maybe i could. I like the chances of Falkirk but am a bit of a fan of Elgin away in cups for some reason so wont be on them. Then again as i said im well out of form at the mo. Will have to get a few hours in today to see where im going wrong.

I'm a bit reluctant to get involved in the mid-week scottish cup action but qould agree about the price on Gretna. 4.20 has to be value, either betandwin don't know about Morton's disastrous (and highly suspicious) end of season form or they don't know that Gretna are basically in the wrong division. I'm on the 4.20. May yet be tempted by Falkirk @ 1.35, as I said though I'm a bit fearful of this tuesday night league cup action so early in the season ![]()

I'm so confident of a Stranraer victory over Raith that I'm going to back them to win HT/FT at 3/1 with William Hills, might even make a silly gambling mistake and boost the returns by adding the Falkik and Peterhad HT/FT wns, the treble will be over 7/1. Or maybe I should go have a wee lie down :o I'm confident Falkirk, Peterhead, Stirling Albion and St Johnston will all dispatch their lower class opponents with ease. But theres no way I'm going to put money on any of them. I'm going to back against Raith for the third time in a row tomorrow, they're shaping up to be the safest bet this season

Not heard but soon will Brill but i know Arbroath are missing at least 3 key players and have lost a lot of personel in the summer. I will be backing against Arbroath every week if the price is right as their on free-fall to the 3rd division imo. they aint gor the players and their defence is a shambles. Suppose first things first we'll see what games are on.

Can't see any games officialy called off yet and my Morton and Dumbarton info might not be genuine. It's the worst flooding in 40 years in places in Central Scotland and it aint stopped raining for 24hrs and its getting worse.

Its midweek, and its still early in the season, so I decided to play safe, St J and Peterhead for me, though I just checked the St J site, the pitch is "heavy but playable". Taken that more rain is expected there tonight, its still possible the game will be called off, but I dont think its very likely. I will accumulate those with some cl and uefa matches, for the five team system. 8)

Don't play in the scottish leagues much, Despite the excellent info but I'm gonna have a punt on Stranraer. Not only are these second rate french players crap, they are also injured. www.soccer365.com/EUROPEA...7735.shtml 16 points on stranraer @ 2.36 Betfair

Peterhead v East Stirling Repeat fixture from Saturday and I can't think of a good reason why not to back it again. Bookies have cut the odds from 1.25ish on Saturday to 1.15 tonight. It's not gonna make you rich quick, and will not appeal to all, but I can't see anything other than another clear home win.
