Nancy striker Marc-Antoine Fortune has agreed personal terms with Celtic, having passed a medical examination with the Scottish Premier League club. The 27-year-old is expected to sign for the Glasgow outfit in preference to offers from English top-flight clubs Hull, Fulham and Portsmouth. Nancy agreed a fee of about £3.8m with Celtic and Hull for the player who was on loan to West Brom last season. And Nancy team-mate Landry N'Guemo is poised for a season's loan at Celtic. The defensive midfielder, who has spent his entire career with Nancy and made 33 appearances last season, was wanted by Tony Mowbray when the Celtic manager was in charge of West Brom last season. Mowbray has continued his interest in the 23-year-old Cameroon international - and in Fortune - since moving to Glasgow. The striker, who was on loan at the Hawthorns last term, arrived in Glasgow on Monday to have a look round Celtic's facilities and is likely to be Mowbray's first signing at the club. Celtic's manager admitted that his club were unlikely to be able to match the wages being offered by Fortune's suitors from England's top flight. But he was hoping that Celtic's stature and the fact that he worked with the French Guianan at West Brom would hold sway. Looks like the deal is nearly done. I think it would have been embarrasing had he chose Hull or Portsmouth over Celtic but thankfully he realises its not all about the money... ![]() Last edited by JackJarvis; 07-07-2009 at 16:43.

Dundee Utd's impressive striker Francisco Sandaza will miss the first two months of the new season after a double hernia. Hibernian have signed Man Utd's 18 year old reserve player Danny Galbraith on a two year deal. Blackpool are set to sign Rangers' Charlie Adam for a fee of around £500'000. Dundee have further bolstered their squad with the signing of Partick Thistle's midfielder Gary Harkins for £150'000. Dundee have already paid a similar fee to Livingston for striker Leigh Griffiths and have also snapped up Brian Kerr from Inverness, Steve Clarke from Clyde and Chris Casement from Ipswich this summer. With the backing of multi millionaire Chris Melville the Dens Park men are already looking hot favourites for the 1st Division title.

Some well known ones in there and a few more obscure ones from the lower divisions. Will update on a daily basis and if any of you hear of any others not mentioned above (I'm sure there are still plenty!) then let us know. ![]() Last edited by JackJarvis; 07-07-2009 at 17:32.

Hibernian will be looking to other goalkeeping targets as Celtic are looking for cash for out of favour keeper Mark Brown. Celtic are all set to land Landry N'Guemo on a years loan deal. He said in the Evening Times: "I'm ready for a move. I've two years left on my contract, but I'm ready for a new challenge - and Nancy know that. "If Celtic want me, I would love to talk to them. They're one of the biggest clubs in European football and the prospect of going there excites me." The Glasgow giants have also been heavily linked with Derbys' Kris Commons and reports are suggesting Mowbray has already made a £3.5m bid.
