Livingston's away form has been a bit dodgy of late but they should put away Albion Rovers who have been on a terrible run since October. Should be a lot of needle flying around in this game. Livingston's players criticised the Albion Rovers dressing rooms as a s*ithole in the press shortly after they were demoted and lost a League Cup and league fixture early doors. There's been a war of words between the Rovers manager and some of the Livi players in the press after the first two encounters. Think Livi will be really fired up for this one. Plus Rovers have lost their star player Bobby Barr to Livi.

Can't believe this, Will Hill had the Livingston game priced up wrong, had Livi at 5/1 and Albion at 1/2. Managed to get £200 on Livi before it got took down. Unbelievable.

I've just had recent experience of this mate, and was informed it was a "palpable error". The chance of a payout is very low, so I wouldn't get the drinks in just yet. Here is where it happened last...

Scotland » Scottish Cup & Irn Bru Divisions » Jan 25-27

And here is the e-mail from Willhill...

Quote:
Dear Sir/Madam

We are unfortunately writing to apologise for a display error that occurred on the William Hill website for the Dunfermline v Stenhousemuir competition. The price for Dunfermline was inadvertently displayed as 13/2 and as such the price on your bet is incorrect.

For a period of 1 hour 10 minutes we had Dunfermline priced at 13/2. The price should have been captured at 2/5.

We apologise for the error and any inconvenience caused. As we are sure you’ll understand, we make every effort to maintain high levels of accuracy throughout the site at all times. Unfortunately mistakes do happen and in these instances we have rules in place and we have to settle according to those rules.

If you do not want your bet to stand at the correct price of 2/5 then we will gladly void your bet if you get in touch with us before the event starts. Do your best to make sure we know well in advance though, because once the event starts, the bet will be settled at the price as described.

For further information regarding our procedure towards errors, please see our Terms and Conditions at http://www.williamhill.com

If you have any further queries regarding your bet on the above competition or any other subject please contact our Customer Services department on UK freephone 0800 085 6296, International freephone 00800 3551 3551, or by e-mail at customerservices@williamhill.co.uk.

We again apologise for any inconvenience you’ve suffered as a result of our error.

Best of luck

Sincerely

So, if I were you, I'd get in touch as soon as, unless you want to risk your £200 anyway...it's up to you.

Emm, if they don't contact you, then you could act oblivious and see what happens, although I can't see it being settled at the price you took seeing how large the stake is... since it is such a large stake I would perhaps contact them yourself just incase. It's a lot to risk for small returns, but it's totally up to you.

Right,

I emailed willhill this message:

" I placed three bets earlier on Livingston to beat Albion (ref numbers ***). I can no longer locate the market on the website can you please just confirm that my bets still stand at the price i took please."

To which they replied:

"Hi Callum,

Thank you for taking the time to write us.

We have checked your transaction details as requested and noted that bet receipts *** have been successfully placed on your account and you have taken the 5/1 price.

To check these transactions, you may follow the steps below:
1. Go to http://sports.williamhill.com/bet/EN
2. Log in to your account.
3. Click “My Account”.
4. Under “Statement”, click “View details of your bets & transactions”.
5. Select “Selected Date Range” on the drop down menu in the “Time Field”.
6. Click “View Statement” button to proceed.

We trust this answers your query. But if you have any further questions, please do not hesitate in contacting us.

Kind regards,

Mikaela

What do you think i should do? Obviously if the 5/1 bet stands I'd like to lay some of it off but if they dont allow me to keep those odds i could end up heavily out of pocket. Are they able to void the bet after the event, i looked at the T&Cs and couldnt find anything about it. I was thinking about waiting until KO and if they havent contacted me laying off then. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

I have been looking at the Albion/Livi game.

I have checked the team news on BBC and Livi have no new injury worries etc.

Albion have a couple out with a virus, the centre back is out suspended and to top it off they have a couple of injuries.

Livi all the way for me.

Indeed, i can't see past a Livi win tonight with a full squad, and a few injuries / missing players for Albion.

-1 handicap on Livi for me! (17/10 at William Hill)

Maybe tonight's the night when the Albion defence will finally ship some goals at home. Livi to score 3 is 5/1 and to score 4 or more is 8/1, both with William Hill. Dutching pays 3.60.

Ayr United - Partick Thistle
Pick: 2
Odd: 2.00 @B365
Stake: 6/10

Interesting odds for an away win in my opinion, so here is some analysis.

Hosts are not so bad at home as their league position shows. They have score of 2-4-3 in 9 games played at home ground, but of these three defeat two were coming by far better teams Inverness CT and Queen of South, while their first defeat at home was made by Morton, which, although their league position don't tell so, are among teams with most away wins in league. In their last two match at home Ayr managed to make a draw against first-spot runner Ross County and even to win against Dunfermline who is, as table shows, better team. After this win they suffer two defeat in a row but against stronger opponent Dundee and Ross County which were settled on first and second place at league table.Their next match will be at home against Dundee and after that they are going away to Dunfermline.Considering this, although they have two match and six point less than Morton who is on secure 8.spot, I think that they are relegated already. Now, on to the point, for tomorrow night match they will have two very important missings, and those are injured defenders Kevin James and Billy Gibson.Kevin James is tallest Scottish player and he is heart of Ayr defense together with Billy Gibson.James is very good in head play and even if he is only absentee, I would make same decision about this bet. When I add value of Billy Gibson to him, and both of them together in defence, it's obviously that tomorrow United defense will be too much weakened. On loan pair of Rocky Visconte and Chris Mitchell are set to their debut, but I'm not expecting some great play from either.Together with them, one more on-loan player striker Tam McManus will make his home debut.

As for the Partick, they have negative streak of 3 defeats in a row, but as previous matches shows, they have never had problems with teams like Morton,Ayr and Airdrie. They welcome back Paul Paton and Alan Archibald from suspension. Paul Cairney is also expected to make a recovery from his ankle injury, but Greg Shields and Stephen McKeown remains sidelined, while Ian Maxwell is suspended.

Considering all of this I'm pretty sure in away win, and I'm expecting this game to easily go to over.

GL all

Yeah mate that's correct, and I tend to mention that at the end of analysis, but somehow forget ( I guess I was too tired).

Anyway, I think that's not of so much importance for tonight match, and I'm staying with my pick, but thank you for correcting me.

According to the local paper, Elgin City travel to East Stirlings ground tonight with one player suspended, two expected to miss the game and four injury doubts.

Part time players with a relatively long journey in front of them swings this one in East Stirlings favour. I don't have any info on E Stirlings team tonight. However league positions and this seasons form seems to point to a home win.

Everything would point to a home win but on the travelling front, half of the Elgin squad live actually within the Glasgow/Edinburgh area so it's a long haul for only half the visiting squad. Elgin can be a funny outfit depending on which Elgin decide to turn up. Some weeks they can be really on their game and others they can play like a pub team. Shire are really firing on all cylinders it should be a routine home win.

They paid out a grand at 5/1 when the bet should have been roughly 4/7?
