| Team News A number of players remain on the St Pat's injury list including David Partridge, Joe O'Cearuill, Joseph Ndo, Jamie Harris, John Frost and Damien Lynch. Mark Quigley picked up a rib injury in Tuesday night's u-23 International against Northern Ireland but should be fit to start. Manager's Comment "We've injuries to a number of players at the moment but the lads who have come in have done very well. We're confident of getting something out of the game but it will be a difficult one. United Park is never an easy place to go to and Drogheda no doubt will be hoping to bounce back from their defeat last week to Bray." - John McDonnell .....source from http://www.a2zsoccer.com/index.cfm/l...A48A1C2DF7.htm are these players long time injured or new ??? David Partridge, Joe O'Cearuill, Joseph Ndo, Jamie Harris, John Frost and Damien Lynch. Mark Quigley r they important ?? if they r i think would be nice to try dorgheda win .. what u think?? |

| Megabrusk to the Ireland section. Drogs v Pats This is a very important game. If Pat's win or even draw the Drogs title challenge could be over. A result like this would give Pats great confidence too. Drogs Drogs are playing very well. Generally speaking, they are defending well, creating chances and dominating games. Drogs have close to a full squad for this game. Morale is good. On top of this there are bigger reasons to support a home win (a) we win games when it matters and (b) we bounce back well from defeats. For example, of three finals we've played we won all three. And we've lost four times this season and after each of those three defeats we've responded well in the next game, losing none, winning two and drawing one. Pat's Pat's are the form team. They have some top quality players who are driving them forward. In particular, Quigley, Fahy and Dempsey have been a top class. Last week they drew at home to a defensive UCD side, creating very little. This is a signal that their form has peaked. Secondly, Pat's are missing three defenders for this game (Lynch, Forst & Harris). These are good players and Pat's will miss them. Thirdly, Pat's manager Johnny McDonnell has a weak record against the bigger sides, so far. This is why I am betting on a Drogs win. The price of 2.50 represents value. Bet: Drogs to win. 9/10 @ 2.50 Correct Score: Drogs to win 2-0. 1/10 @ 17/2 Score Anytime: A Hughes, O Cahill & S Robinson 1/10 @ 11/2, 9/2, 9/1 Derry v Cobh Both Derry and Cobh are in a poor run of form. Derry have much more quality than Cobh. Derry are unbeaton at home so far this season. Cobh, in contrast, have yet to win away from home this season. I'm concerned about Derry's poor form. However, with McCourt and Delaney back tonight they are stronger. Price: 1.50 for a home is good. Bet: Derry to win. 6/10 @ 1.50 Bet - Double: Drogs & Derry to win. 6/10. May the force be with us.

| Sligo v Bray Having watched Bray at home last week, where I saw them create no clear chances of their own yet still win that game, I'm going to back Sligo here. To win this game Bray will have to improve and create some clear cut chances which they have struggled at all season. Sligo have a strong defence and are strong generally at home. Sligo were unfortunate last week when they played Cork away. Instead of getting a penalty in the second half the got a man sent off for diving. That referee has now been suspened for five weeks for not giving that decisions. Otherwise Sligo did well in that game but lost 1-0. Sligo are missing two defenders who are suspened. So I'm going to keep my stake small. Price: Better than evens for a Sligo win against a midtable side like Bray is not bad value. Bet: Sligo to win. 3/10 @ 2.10 May the best team win.
