Both teams playing to be in the first 13 as those qualify to the new north conference which is going to be created cause of reorganisation lower leagues. L is close to achieve that as there's no many matches left to play and their form is very good. Won last game away 2-0 at Frickley and last three at home 6-0 with Spennymoor, 4-0 with Burscough and 2-1 with Droylsden.
On the own ground 9-3-4 might not look that impressive but its due to a few bad games earlier this season. They have been climbing the table of lately and the are in top form now.
S is pretty weak at the moment and has many injuries. In the last game at home playing Whitby they lost 3-1 having on the bench an injured player, one junior and second goalkeeper. Whitby was weakened themselves and still managed to score three. S has few players off to injuries and Fitzgerald left for Accrington. Captain is coming back to the team though, but he will find hard to manage with only half of the first team.
L started playing much better after come back of G Baures and big boost is as well better disposition of P.Thomson. R Elderton is out after picking injury. L should be much "fresher" today after having played against ten man in the last game.
In the first fixture between teams L won at S 3-0 playing as well against weakened team. Why not similar scoreline back home?
For sure S will play very defensive football today and that should suit L. Sometimes L starts games pretty nervous playing against attacking teams. That shouldn't be a case tonight. Definitely no open game from Millers players.
Problem of lately for S is many errors in defence, bad tactics (managers problem), poor delivery and taking corners.
L doesn't play that convincingly away like at home. Motivation in this game is the key as a few hard games coming at home to top teams.
L is only a few points above 14th team in the table and manager Wilson wants this gap to increase taking great disposition of his team.
S played some games this season on Tuesdays and they lost them all. Lets hope today is going to be one of those Tuesdays.
