Default Playoff winners?

Anyone having a go? I do it every year just a 1pt trixie so a stake of 4pts for a bit of interest. Was very unlucky last year, got bristol rovers and blackpool right, and if west brom would have beat derby i would have won 24 times my original 4pt stake which would have finished the season perfectly for me with a 96pts win. As it was i had to settle for a return of 15pts, which was still nice though i should have probably put some money on derby just in case but i fancied west brom to hammer them. Judging by the 2 teams contrasting fortures this season it would have been better for football in general if they did, not just for my bank balance! Anyway my playoff predictions.......

CCC - Hull... It was either between hull and palace here, and i think both teams should get comfortably through, and think this will be a great final. If it gets to this stage and am relying on this game however, i will just put some of my potential winnings on palace so i cant lose either way.

League 1 - Leeds.... Leeds are playing my team carlisle and this is the reason i have picked them. I have been saying for weeks that carlisle are playing awful at the minute, and to be honest bournemouth deserved to win last saturday. Just feel leeds will have too much for carlisle, and if then the massive leeds support will roar them to victory in the final.

League 2 - Rochdale... Again a tough one to pick, however i feel tha darlo are currently the worst team left in the playoffs so rochdale especially with their recent form 7-3-0 in their last 10 will get through. I know history is against rochdale, but theyve never been better equipped than this season to get that illusive promotion, so i will stick with my instincts here.

L1 - Leeds
L2 - Rochdale

CCC - PALACE - If Warnock was there at the start of the season, Palace would be looking forward to playing United and Arsenal next season so unlucky to be in play offs but a few exciting young players and Morrison up front can get them to the promised land.

L1 - LEEDS - Without the deduction would of gone upautomatically and they will go up this year.

L2 - STOCKPORT - Have serious momentum and a strong squad. Also have a decent record against all these sides this season.

£10 trixie
£40 stake.

Championship
Watford, been there and done it before, imo have the best squad out of the 4 teams, look great value at 7/2 if they can regain any of there early season form.

League 1
Southend United @ 7/2, think the pressure might get to Leeds, Southend been up there all year, decent footballing side, wouldn't right them off.

League 2
Darlington, @ 11/4 were up there with MK Dons early part of the season, again think they have the best squad.

Do this every year myself aswell, but usually just stick a couple of quid on the treble.

Your 3 are the 3 I'll be going with, pretty much for the same reasons.

Hull because I think they should atleast make the final with Watford's terrible form and I don't see much to chose between them and palace.

Leeds because their the form side in the play-offs and they play a Carlisle side struggling for form.

Finally Rochdale, because again they look to have the easiest passage to the final.

Think the treble pays around 30/1.

think il stick a 10er on Hull , Leeds and Rochdale , returns over 300 , and has a good possibility of happening

Having one bet and that's Crystal palace, they are playing very well and have the confidence and momentum. Leeds also but the price will be skinny and no value, maybe also the pressure and expectation maybe too much so I will leave these.

Didnt realise just how big the odds were of predicting the three playoff winners! Easy Money!!

Ill take;

Championship - Crystal Palace @ 2/1

League One - Carlisle @ 4/1

League Two - Stockport @ 5/2

Pays around 50/1

Then again, stick any three teams in there and you look like you have a real chance!!

Worth a fiver anyways...

Championship - Hull City
Should get past Watford easily enough (if I can find the paper from Hull last night I'll post something that may be of interest) and I'd take them to achieve their aim and see Premier League football at the impressive KC Stadium.

League One - Leeds United
Should have gone straight up, heads above the rest and will be back in the Championship in 08/09 if they don't go bust (again) first.

League Two - Stockport County
OK, yes, I'm a Stockport fan, but I can't (seriously) see why people are plumping mostly for Rochdale here. League form means nothing now but I see no reason why we won't get past Wycombe in the semi-final, and then it's all down to 90 minutes at Wembley. We are very much the form team alongside Rochdale and although it will be chewed fingernails all the way, it'll be worth it in the end.

Not going to bottle out here. Straight treble on Hull (13/5), Leeds (13/8), Stockport 5/2 should do nicely

Palace, Doncaster and Stockport for me.

Palace are in superb form and Warnock has experience of playoffs. I saw Donny 2 weeks ago and they looked awesome. 10 times better than Forest did the week before. Really don't rate Leeds and think if Donny see off Southend they'll win the playoffs and Stockport are solid all round, look to have a good chance against Wycombe who have a tendency for bottling these and would have every chance in the final.

Mine would be:

Championship - Hull
All the momentum seems to be with Palace but I reckon Hull have enough to beat them. They have some decent experienced players for this level (Windass, Okocha, Pedersen) and in Campbell have an excellent young striker who can fire them to the Prem.

League One - Doncaster
Every bone in my body wants it to be Leeds but we seem to be scraping a lot of games 1-0 at the moment and not really dominating teams. At the prices, Doncaster look the best value IMO and with the 2nd leg at the Keepmoat, I can see them sneaking past Southend to make the final. And if it's Leeds you know they'll over-price them like they've done all season.

League Two - Rochdale
They're the only ones I've yet to have a bet on - had a 1/2pt at 11/4 - Darlo have really struggled the last few months and all the momentum seems to be with Rochdale. Stockport and Wycombe looks like a coin-toss and both teams have gone through periods of inconsistency this season so I'll side with the form side.

better have a 1/2 pt treble just in case it comes in

I've not decided who to back, if anyone, in terms of winning the play-offs, but in terms of reaching the play-off finals I've already backed Hull and Rochdale - two teams in good nick against two teams that practically crawled into the play-offs.

If I was to do an outright on a Playoff win I would take them as singles rather than a treble.I don't want to get 2 just to be let down by the 3rd.

Only bets i've done for the playoffs is a double on Stockport and C Palace to just qualify for the final with Skybet. Think i will probably have another one with smaller stakes with the above two teams, Rochdale and Leeds in a fourfold.

Lol. And there was me thinking this forum was all about taking the bookies to the cleaners .

I'm actually hoping your bet comes in Lee, at least that way, my Rochdale bet will cover the treble and the mighty whites will begin their march back to the Premiership .
