Tonight was supposed to be Ronaldo's comeback when a United XI travel to play Conference side, Oxford.

Television reports suggest that he will not play because of security concerns. This seems very strange, as his first game, wherever it may be, is going to create a media frenzy and the player is going to receive crowd abuse. Surely it will be easier to handle at the 12,400 capacity, Kassam Stadium.

Ferguson says that Saha, Silvestre, O'Shea and Heinze will start and that he is undecided about Ronaldo and Rooney (surely not) who wants to play. Just read that Ronaldo was seen getting on the team bus, if this is true, then surely he will play, why subject him to the media circus, if he is not going to take part ?

Oxford will rotate their squad as all the players want to face Man U, they may change all 11 at half time and will have one eye on the opening league match at the weekend.
