Carlo Ancelotti @ Chelsea

Although I'm pretty confident this will have to be refreshed sometime in the season

Jim Magilton at QPR might last the season! Aapparently over last 10 years the average is 14 games for a QPR manager!

Good idea for a thread.

If I were Martinez i'd have stayed on at Swansea personally, theyve got something big happening there. He got em playing fantastic Football. Anyway, with the players at Wigan I can see him struggling there.

good luck to him.. but i have to say that after watching him on celtic tv for the tommy burns tribute show and in the way he conducted himself and spoke about both tommy and celtic in general i feel he would have been the right man for the job at celtic..but asusual the board never make things simple and i can see the tony mobry situation collapsing and us ending up with roy aitken or craig levien

John Barnes unveiled as Tranmere Rovers manager and will bring with him Jason Macateer as his number 2.

I can tell you first hand that this is not a popular decision in Birkenhead and fans are very much divided on the issue. It follows what was a very strange decision to sack the popular Ronnie Moore who presided over a decent side and a very united club last year. With the playing budgets being cut this season and a couple of established players leaving it might well be a difficult task for Barnes if he gets off to a bad start.

bizarre one this for me - declining income for 3 years followed by manager sacking and employing a guy who, whilst had a great playing career, has, arguably, down sweet FA of any note in his short managerial reigns...

Totally agree ... Burnley were one of the best footballing teams last season in the Championship. We were quotes by many teams complimenting our passing game. But when we payed Swansea at the Turf, they played us off the park at our own game and to be honest Burnley played quite well that night.

Swansea were my team to watch in the Championship in the 2009/2010 season and hopefully even though Martinez has left, they will be a strong team.

Cannot see him emulting his footballing style with Wigan though unless he has a major clearout.

I always reckon Steve Bruce will do a good job wherever he goes.
