Default A little help - Scottish

Just been looking at the League 2 outright market. Why are Brechin clear favourites (1.72) over Stranraer (2.5)? They have played the same number of games and Stranraer are one point ahead.

Any help much appreciated.

Stranraer out at 15/8 on bluesq.

My only thoughts at a possible explanation would be that Brechin did just receive £100,000 for Chris Templeman, and I would think will have received compensation for manager Dick Campbell's move to Partick, so perhaps the bookies are anticipating some sort of major strengthening(if all that money was ploughed into wages/free transfers it would be fairly significant in the 2nd Div.)

The form of the two is quite similar(Brechin have a slight edge), Brechin beat Stranraer 4-1 last time out, Brechin were very convincing in the cup on Saturday under their new manager, but none of these are that conclusive.

Anyone?

The way i see the league finishing Mr I is-

1st Brechin
2nd Morton
3rd Ayr
4th Stranraer
5th Alloa

Stranraer are starting to falter as i predicted months ago but not as quickly as i had presumed. They still are grinding out results and getting a bit of luck and i really dont rate them especially if someone comes in for Davie Graham in the next week or so.

Brechin are looking solid and being a man that advised all to back them at 9/1 3 or 4 months ago im feeling pretty smug. Only danger i see is Morton going on a run now and pushing them and would take the 8/1 (bet365) as i think that will be the biggest price yu'll get on them for the rest of the season. Then again i took the 25/1 on Dumbarton too as advised so i aint that smart

Stranraer v Brechin this Saturday. I should be on the away but Stranraer will give them a game but i think Stranraer are vurnerable at home at the moment. i'll take 5/4 and upwards on the away.

Fell through i believe Keyser. Hows things at Ayr btw Keyser as they dont seem too settled on the pitch.

1 Brechin 20 31 44
2 Stranraer 20 13 42
3 Morton 20 15 33

Brechin City (4/7), Stranraer (11/4), Morton (7/1

Morton and Brechin still to meet twice. First a week Sat.
