| Evening punters, what do you like this week? I'm on a Drogs win (7/10 @ 2.00), now to the logic: Bray v Drogs Both sides have close to full squads. This is of some use. As we saw last week Drogs win against weak sides but in a labored and stuttering fashion; but they win. I expect them to win against Bray for three reasons. (1) Our manager, Paul Doolin, has instilled a winning mentality into the side, built on a solid and hard to beat foundation. (2) We have a full squad or as good as and morale is good. (3) Bray are a midtable side and the Drogs have strong track record against these sides away from home. For example we didn't lose against any of the sides outside the top four away from home last year. (trend) Price of 2.00: Since we more often than not win, sometimes draw and very rarely lose, I see value here. Bet: Drogs + 1 10/10 @ 1.2 Drogs win 7/10 @ 2.00 Drogs win (correct score) 1-0, 2-0 2/10 @ 9/2 & 15/2 2.30 for a Galway win against Harps and UCD on the AH have my attention too. I'll report back tomorrow with more.

| I’m in the same boat with Coltron, as I almost feel certain in Drog’s win tonight. Bray is in middle of good run, they are unbeaten in their last five league games, as they won four of them, but they didn’t convinced me with their play: - against shaky defense of Finn Harps, they need nearly 50 minutes to score. To add to this the visitors were unfortunate not to take a point from the game, as they missed a penalty. - only against Bohemians they produced a solid play and were unfortunate no to take all three points, as they finished the game in stronger manners. - against Derry, the visitors showing signs that they were going to take control of the game, but a red card and penalty gave the win to Bray. After that Derry did little to bonus back in the game. - against Galway, they won with a deserved last minute goal, but early in the game they wasted with easy their advantage of two goals. - against poor travelers Cobh, they need up to an hour to score and the visitors were unfortunate not to take a point from the game if they had their finishing been a little more clinical. On other side Drog made a good performance in their last three games in league and League Cup (they didn’t conceded a single goal in that run): - against Cork, they were ahead in the result by one goal, before Cork were reduced to ten man (because of red card), after that they were made easier to double their advantage and never let the Cork to came back to the game. - against Finn Harps, they could easy won by three or more goals (although Harps made their best performance up to date in the season), but Drog defended well and never lost a control of the game. - against Shelbourne (League Cup) they produced a reliable play, even that they were almost with their second team. GL to everybody who will decide to take this bet. ![]() |

| Hi Roskos, dunno what happened with your post but here's to a Drogs win all the same ![]() Galway v Harps New manager for Galway has the team playing with some heart. They have a few back from injury and have got two decent results in their last two games, especially keeping Derry scoreless on their own patch. Harps are on loseing run, aren't scoring and aren't creating very many chances. Morale I'm figuring is low. They are still missing two attacking players too. With energy levels rising in Galway and falling for Harps I support a home win. A price of 2.30 looks excellent. Bet: Galway win 7/10 @ 2.30 May the best team win.

| Only picked one game out as a single tonight Kildare County vs Athlone Town. 2nd to Bottom (Kildare) vs bottom (Athlone).Athlone rotten team away from home vs a Kildare team picking up their first win at home in the last game. Athlone letting in goals like nobodies business on their travels and not scoring many. kildare hitting 4 vs Monaghon who have a similar record as Athlone on their travels. Also, Kildare keeping a nice clean sheet.I can see Kildare win here but around 2 goals and I see some nice value in 11/10 priced up by willhill. Last edited by littleacca; 09-05-2008 at 14:40. Reason: Got team positions round wrong way. |

| Other game that I’m interest in is Sporting Fingal vs Longford Town. Longford is unbeaten in last three games, won twice in home and drew the other game away from home, but before this they had a spell of five games without a win. These two wins came against two of bottom three teams (with worst defenses and attacks) in league table. In the first game for season back in the beginning of March, they won against tonight opponent, but we don’t need to read too much in that game. Here is some part of interview with ex-Longford player Colm James, who now play Sporting Fingal: “…they beat us convincingly in the opening game of the season but that result won’t have any bearing on this match. It was always going to take time for an entirely new team to get going but we have a settled side now…” Going onto the hosts in tonight game I’m pleased with their performance, especially in home games against top league duo Shelbourne and Dundalk. Against the Reds they dominated in first hour of the game, especially when the visitors were reduced to ten men after just 25 minutes, but Sporting Fungal didn’t taken an advantage of being a men up. With both of defenses being on their best performances, the game ends in deserved scoreless draw. The second game proceeded in opposite manner, as Robbie Doyle was dismissed for Sporting Fingal, but instead it was the host who went ahead early in the second half. Dundalk managed to level with few minutes later and the game ends in another deserved draw. As I didn’t found any info for important absent players for both of these teams and I think that home factor will be decisive for tonight game. Sporting Fingal have an excellent records at home turf: four clean sheets and failed to score only once from five games. Sporting Fingal – Longford Town @ HOME 2.35 Canbet, 5/10 GL tonight. |

| Galway-Finn Harps Galway and Finn Harps are both at the bottom of the Irish Premier League but Galway recently appointed former Derby and Blackburn player Jeff Kenna as coach and got a draw away at Derry and a cup win on penalties over Sligo Rovers who were unbeaten in six games at the time so now he wants his first win in regular time. One that would go a long way in the future battle over relegation. Four players have been out for Galway (Keane, Foley, Robson and Lester) and will remain sidelined. Harps without Beckett and Minnock, both injured. They haven't won in seven matches and against an improving Galway side who wants to gift their new manager with his first league win at Terryland Park seems their negative trend will continue tonight. | Lesson from this week: If I ever this I'm certain of something; I'm very probably wrong. I over looked the fact that Drogs have re-jigged their formation. From playing a four four two in the last three years to a three five two in the last three games. This was the result of the loss to Bray and puncturing my bank account. I'll update my sig again and hopefully that will warm punters to stay clear of my bets, if not my reasoning. Hope you guys turned a profit.
