This is my last port of call as i have asked before. Is there a site that gives corner stats for irish league games? I cannot find one and have contacted bookmakers etc. The very experienced Irishtw has said that he does not know of one. Does anyone know of one?

I'm going with Shamrock Rovers DNB and UCD away win.

July 4th. Eircom Premier League.

St. Patricks Athletic (3.45) vs Shamrock Rovers FC (2.44). The draw (3.3). Odds @ Betfair.com.

St. Patricks absents: Mark Quigley, Damien Lynch, Darragh Ryan, Dave Partridge, John Lester, Mark Leech, Gary Dempsey.

Rovers absents: (from Shamrockrovers.ie)

Stephen Rice is serving a one-match suspension, while there are doubts about the fitness of defender Darragh Maguire (knee) and goalkeeper Robert Duggan (thigh).

Michael O’Neill said:
“Stephen is obviously unavailable, while the other two are recovering from injuries they picked up around the FAI Cup games against Drogheda United. Other than those three we are at full strength which means we’re a lot of competition for places in the starting eleven and the bench against Saint Pat’s on Saturday."

“We went into the break on a high, and even though it was only a short break, a week off, everyone came back to training last Monday feeling very hungry for football.

“The training’s been really good all week, the players are refreshed, and looking forward to the challenges facing us in the second half of the season.”

My pick is Shamrock Rovers to win @ away with odds 2.44.

St. Patricks have quite a handfull of players absent from this match, as where Rovers have a defense player and their 2nd keeper absent. I really dont think that will affect them. Should be a few goals for Shamrock Rovers in this match.

ReasoningFirst up, its worth noting in the last 10 games between these sides over the past few years, Sligo have never beaten Drogheda. Now lets add to the fact they have not won in their last 6 and lost 2-1 at home to Vllaznia in a Europa League qualifier midweek which they were expected to win comfortably. Drogheda won their last match two weeks ago 1-0 at home to St Patricks and come into this match in better form overall. A draw wouldn't surprise me in this one but if anyone is to nick it, I fancy Drogheda and Sligo look a good lay at the prices.

What about Cork and St. Patricks? Have St. Patricks chance to make some points?

Cork v St.Pats today.

I find St.Pats odds staggeringly good. 6/1!

Its not like Cork are that good. They lost their last home game to Dundalk. St.Pats are having a bad season but they did hammer top of the table Bohemians recently.

I take it St.Pats have major injurys going into this game?

They have 4 players out but after the 2-1 loss at the weekend, Darragh Ryan and Dave Partridge return to the squad tonight to bolster them a bit more.
