UCD Dublin - Bray Wanderers
Not an easy game, but the Students are good at home and very tough to break behind. Last win vs Waterford was very much deserved, another win vs Bray would improve a lot the ranking and the morale. Anyway, seems more like an UNDER 2,5 game.
Waterford - Derry City
Well, Waterford is no doubt one of the relegation candidates, but Derry City right now is not a title contender. Dery is in terrible form and last defeat 1-4 vs Cork showed all their troubles. Manager Pat Fenlon needs absolutely a win tonight, otherwise he will be on the way out.
St. Patrick's - Bohemians Dublin
As expected, St.Pats is the most improved team compared to last season and the first place, with all wins, is surely much deserved. Tonight "The Saints" will host at "Richmond Park" Bohemians, an ambitious team, with 3 wins in a row now. Both teams have no problems with injuries or supsensions, but St.Pats seems much better right now. HW here
Galway United - Longford Town
Big game, but for the wrong side of the table. Both teams started badly, Galway just 1 point, paying lack of experience, whereas Longford has done worse, with only losses, and newspapers are talking about financial problems inside the club (it would mean sure relegation). Both teams lost last game at home, but Galway played well vs St.Pats. HW is attractive, but UNDER seems safer.
Drogheda United - Sligo Rovers
Right now, only Drogheda seems able of keeping St.Pats pace at the top. Tonight Drogs will host Sligo, a nice team, but which surely will collect the points only against the weaker clubs. Drogheda is stronger this year, no doubt about it, and the title is not a dream, considering Derry's and Cork's problems. Drogheda has some players injured, but enough back-up, and Sligo has 3 injured players too. HW here
Cork City - Shamrock Rovers
Big game, at least according the big names on the pitch. Cork City finally showed its potential last Monday, beating Derry, whereas Shamrock is looking to find the way to the old glory, and tonight a big game is expected, in front of a big crowd. Of course, experience is important and Cork has much more right now. Both teams have problems right now, because Farelly and Healy are still out for Cork, because of FIFA's rules, and some other players have small injuries, whereas Shamrock might suffer the tiredness of the last games, in Eircom and Cup. HW probably, but I rarely will oppose Shamrock this year.

cheers blaudio for the write-ups, I'll have a little crack at Derry today to bounce from their woeful recent forms.

Right, I forgot to mention tha St.Pats-Bohemians is a derby, both teams from Dublin.
Anyway, the funniest thing about Paddy Power (Three-year deal thought to be worth in the region of €300,000) is that their spokesman said: "St. Pat’s fans are some of the shrewdest punters around and we’re glad to be on their side of the fence for once!"
Maybe in a few days the relation Paddy Power-Fans will improve even more and Paddy will give the St.Pats fans any safe bet...

Well, the problem with Derry in the start of the new season has not been any injury, but finding the right pace under new coach Pat Fenlon (he was the coach of Shelbourne, which won the title last year).
According the line-up, Derry has no new big problems. Sean Hargan may come back after injury but there are concerns over Darren Kelly and Kevin Deery - who both missed Monday's game with Cork. Paddy McCourt is also a worry after limping out of Monday' game in the early going, but he might play.
To be noticed that in the last H2H meetings Derry City has almost always won against Waterford:
Nov 13, 2006: Waterford Utd 0-1 Derry City
Jul 30, 2006: Derry City 4-0 Waterford Utd
Apr 28, 2006: Waterford Utd 1-2 Derry City
Oct 28, 2005: Derry City 0-1 Waterford Utd
Jul 29, 2005: Waterford Utd 1-3 Derry City
May 6, 2005: Derry City 1-0 Waterford Utd
Nov 19, 2004: Waterford Utd 1-0 Derry City
Nov 2, 2004: Derry City 1-0 Waterford Utd

If Derry City (only team in Eircom from Northern Ireland) really aims to win the title this year, should start winning right now, otherwise, the title will remain in Ireland Republic (most probably in Dublin, but Cork is a big threat)

St.Patricks hosting Bohemians.

Home team made an exellent start of the season with 5 wins. Their rival today also have a nice winning streak, winning their last 3.

This is a Dublin derby, and if we look at past results we can see that Bohemians rarely lost it. In their 9 league games over the last years, St.Pats won only one, Bohemians won 4 and 4 games finished as draw.

I like these odds on Bohemians today, St.Pats made an incredible start but appart from that away game with (struggling) Derry they didn't meet an in form team still.

I'll try these odds on awaywin, bet1128 @4.4.
And try a bet on total goals: 2-3, mostly as a cover, expekt @1.95. GL~
