Shelbourne v Derry looks like being one hell of a clash!

Derry have the games in hand to topple Shelbourne and have won on two of their last three visits!

expect fireworks!

Drogheda v Bray
Drogheda have dropped a few points at home in the last three matches, but against top sides!
Bray have just one point from their ten away matches this season - and that was acheived in their first away game!
Bray have only scored three times and conceeded 25 in those matches also!

this will be the third meeting this season and Drogheda have won the last two 1-0!
H2H's 2-0-0 and 4-1-0 in total also add to the supporting stats for this one!

1.35 from expekt ain't too bad at all -IMO!

I know little about these leagues and would appreciate any info or opinions offered!

this is a stat based suggestion of course so team news ect first!

a lay of Dundalk in the first div at home to Shamrock at good odds looks like a worthy plan to me tonight!

Shamrock have the H2H's in their favour and an excellent defence to boast of here!

Dundalk are an excellent side themselves lying in 2nd just 3pts behind leaders Shamrock, but the odds aren't to be sniffed at and if you can get Dundalk at 2.6ish I'd lay them!
I can't see Shamrock losing this!

Eircom 1. Division, Ireland

Dundalk – Shamrock Rovers

Today Dundalk (2.) conceives Shamrock Rovers (1.).
It will be a tough game!

Both teams are unbeaten since 14 games. (4 draws each)

Dundalk will miss the suspended Robert McAuley injured Aidan Lynch and Bran Kelly. 3 of 4 defenders.
The guests from Shamrock play without supspended topscorer Tadgh Purcell defender Robbie Clarke and injured Shane Guthrie.

The last game ended 0:0 in Dundalk, Shamrock won 2:1 at home and 2:0 in Dundalk before.

Both teams with important players missed, i think this will be a hard match without goals.

Here is some team news from the Drogheda website:

Its back to business on Friday for the Drogs as they prepare for the visit of Bray Wandereers. Today (Wednesday) it became clear that James Keddy has not recovered sufficiently from the ankle injury he sustained against Bohs to make him a certainty to start.
Definitely ruled out is Tony Grant who is still troubled by knee ligaments. Apart from that, Brian Shelley has Flu, but is expected to start. Also training fully is Jason Gavin who, unbelievably, dislocated his shoulder in the Cork match. When he stood up after the injury , the shoulder miraculously went back into place !. Jason has trained fully all week and looks in good shape.
Also back from injury and training fully are the unlucky pair of Patrick Sullivan and Andrew Hageman. Patrick has been given the all-clear to resume after his viral illness and Heggo returned with the Under 21s in their Cup Semi-Final - all he needs now is match practice !.
So, apart from that (and of course Damian Lynch's suspension) it will be all systems go. The week's break has given us a chance to focus on the ten games left. Paul Doolin expressed himself very pleased with the Cork performance and will be looking to push on from there . Ten games left - three of these against Derry - its going to be an interesting couple of months. Lets not write off Bray - remember they were two goals up on $hels, but we should just focus on ourselves - we can do it !

Defender James Keddy is a squad player as is forward Tony Grant (both have 21 starts this season). Right back Damian Lynch is a first team regular.
According to Bray's website they have no injury or suspension worries but have parted company with manager Tony McGuirk - former player and current coach Eddie Gormley has taken charge on a temporary basis.

A tough game to call as both teams miss some players but in my eyes all the pressure is on Dundalk and they are missing 3 of their regular back four players. Shamrock rovers miss some players including top scorer Tadhg Purcell but they have the stronger squad to cope. A draw is a real possibility but if their was a team to win it i would favour Shamock Rovers. Under seems a resonable shout but those odds are a bit tight especially considering Dundalks replacement defense.

Yes - both Forde and Brennan are suspended. Pat Jennings will start in goal.

Any info on Cork's leading scorer John O'Flynn? He was injured in their last match.

UCD are struggling to score for some time now, and Cork are not firing as well, especially away from home, so I was thinking about under 1.5 goals in this one @3.00.

UCD scored 4 goals in last 10 games, Cork have goal difference 8-8 in same period, and Cork scored only 7 goals in 11 road games this season.

Any thoughts?

and to add h2h stats - also point to low scoring match:

Thanks, Djordje i agree with you. Both teams plays in past rounds to many draws UCD 4 in a row, and Cork before 2 wins 5 draws in a row. Sounds like another draw here.
Any thoughts?
