Default Help!!!

Ok last week me and adam had an in store bet on a treble that included hamilton, both teams won but hamilton drew. Now the hamilton game is void as they feilded an inelligible player. The game will be replayed next week and also we may have lost/thrown away our slip.
1. Will the bet be back on?
2. Is there anything we can do if we can't find our slip?

Cheers

this will depend on your bookie - i know that some bookies will make it clear how you stand in circumstances like this, for instance, bwin have a 72 hour policy (dont quote me on that ), where the bet will count ONLY if the match is rescheduled within that 72 hour period.

which bookie did you use?

yes, i've misplaced many a slip - they DO keep records of these, although this would help if you were recognised by whoever handled your bet the last time. As long as you can state the details and approximate time, aswell as stake etc (bonus points for using cards here.....then they'll be no problems at all!). Hopefully your bookie is an understanding one!

something else - most bookies follow THIS stance on accumulators that have a void/cancellation, they will count the odds of that fixture as 1.00, so it's still included, but you don't make (or lose) money on it.

i guess you didnt bet much on thiese trebles, otherwise you wouldnt have "thrown away thr slip though, right?!

hope that answers your questions......

if you can find your slip, take it in regardless and make your case - you get nothing for not trying...

Had a double Hamilton/Kilmarnock

Now it appears that not only did Brechin gain unfair advantage by fielding one inellegible player (£10,000 fine and match replayed) but they've had to admit to a second inellegible player and look like being kicked out.

With this in mind and the fact that the game's result was illegally influenced I contacted Bet365 to ask for a voiding of my bet...didn't even ask that they settle the Killie part (figured void be fairest all round) so far no success ..trying to hide behind 90 minutes were played rule.

Considering they've already settled this match they seem to have odds on an imaginery Brechin/Hamilton game posted for Saturday when Brechin are already through according to their settling process. Come on you can't have it both ways !

that's the problem with these guys (bookies, but online bookies in particular), there doesn't seem to be any clear indication of who governs them and ensures they stick to the rules - meaning they can fiddle around any rule they like and not suffer any bad press or be punished for it..........

i know how you feel, couple years ago I had a similar issue over something involving the Turkish Cup, but they weasled out of it, and pretty much stole my cash (i've made it back, but it still burns to think of it!).

If i were you i'd keep trying though - phone calls, emails, letters and the rest - and perhaps threaten legal action for breach of T & C? (although i have no idea whether that is possible or not)........

they shouldn't be allowed to get away with it - no matter how much cash you had on it.

you should keep us informed how this goes, will be interesting to see if you (WE!!!) can get them to return your cash

I really don't see what Bet365 have done wrong here.

I understand it's frustrating that your bet may have lost because Brechin
broke the rules, but that's hardly Bet365's fault. If their rules are that the
bet is on the result after 90 minutes and subsequent disqualification doesn't
matter, then so be it. They'll have paid out to everybody who bet on the
draw: do you think those people should have to give their winnings back?

well, it depends. i won't be studying the b365 T&C to find out whether it says this or not, but i think i can remember it saying that if they found they had made an error then they have the right to remove funds from an account (or add funds to an account) to compensate for such....i've never heard of it happening, but if it says in their T&C, then it should be plausilbe.

of course, the real matter here is who is in the right, and it seems that b365 will only void uncompleted games (just found out). Finished matches (illegal activity or not) are classed as finished matches and so it seems you WOULD lose.

ah well....that idea crashed and burned before it left the ground

Hi
After getting a decent enough reply outlining the whys etc including the fact that they "offered a price on the game fair on relevant team selection"
I wrote again Thursday morning informing them of Brechin's second inelligible player affecting the result and probable expulsion and questioned the reasoning in their reply as many Scottish football fans would have based their selection on a Brechin team without the 2 players who Brechin fielded as the rules were widely known and had in fact meant Hamilton could not field their latest addition Simon Mensing in the tie.
Further I asked whether had the Tevez case found in favour of Sheffield Unt and West Ham had been relegated then surely they would have to have paid out on West Ham to be relegated after the fact on a rules breach and well after the last ball had been kicked.

Anyway to their credit they have given me a free bet to the value of that staked. ie I only get any winnings from it not my money refunded, but fair play to Bet365 - in the circumstances that's a fair compromise and one I'm happy with - well done to them and they'll continue have the bulk of my business. (unlike crappy Hills who could learn a few things from this kind of service)

wow, that's really great news for all us - means we can (sometimes) have the hope that the bookies aren't always so cold hearted and can play nice!

hopefully, you'll stick that bet on something decent and grab back more than before ('coz we're a greedy lot )
