Default HANDICAP BETTING - PREMIERSHIP

Betfair have got their market up.

I just missed out on Soton and Birmingham last year so I'll have a few more quid on them this time, along with Middlesboro:

Southampton +38.5 @ 36.00
Birmingham +35.5 @ 19.00
Middlesboro +33.5 @ 10.5

Spurs look an interesting bet +40.5 too @ 8.00, though would want a bit better odds.

Forget the better odds mate. What you need to be looking for is a better team.

Default Lpool

+25.5pts Bet Fair for Lpool - I can't see Soton, Brum and Boro finishing close to Liverpool.

I expect at least 64 points from Liverpool plus 25.5 gives them 89.5 points, which would be a decent total to beat. I think they were stale last season but a new manager will renew them a little.

I like handicap bets, but they are a swine to analyse, because of the increased factors involved.

Opinions welcomed.

Default handicap betting

I think the +25.5 liv @ 5.4 is awful.
considering liv finished with 60 points last year to Arsenals 90,
there are a lot better bets there, look at Fulham +33.5 at a whopping 60.0!!!! they finished with 52 pts last year.
Arsenall 0 @ 44.0!!!! That one doesnt make sense to me at all

Default Re: handicap betting

I disagree with you on Liverpool there Qxsad.

Liverpool wont be that far behind anybody this season, 10 points behind the winners at most i'd say. There are some very good players at Liverpool, Houllier had them all negative last season with his over use of back passing and the square ball, good players like Kewell and Riise lost their way under his negative style, Heskey was preffered to Baros too which was also wrong. Houllier even played Biscan (poor midfielder) in central defence at times last season, wtf ????? And everything else had to revolve around Gerrard

Everybody will be fighting for their place in the team this season, Rafa will have no favourites as individuals, just team players. Cisse will score goals as will Owen, Baros and Pongolle.

That Fulham bet looks a bit tempting mind.
