Betting on friendlies can be dodgy but West Ham look a bit of value at Even Money. We play an MLS All Stars team, made up of the 'best' players from the American top flight. This is a piss poor league anyway and most of the players have never played together before. West Ham have won both pre season games so far, 2-4 at non league Hampton & Richmond and 1-3 against Americans Columbus Crew. Bellamy has looked sharp and I liked what I saw at Hampton. A mate who is in America text to say he was impressed with what he saw at the Columbus game and Ashton looked somewhere near his best. We should have enough firepower to push this mickey mouse outfit to one side so lump on, get a few cans and a chinky in and watch the Hammers win live on setanta at 00:30AM

WHUpunter, the Allstars are not piss poor, we (celtic) went in with a similar attitude and got horsed 2-0 which could easily have been 4 or 5.

The likes of Blanco, Donovan and Beckham are exhibition players and love this kind of game. They may not be the best when it comes to playing in week in week out for their clubs but these one off games are what they do best and 6/4 with Hills looks excellent value for them IMO.

I agree with Calsa here I never got to see the MLS v Celtic game but from the audio coverage it was a pummelling, although we have a poor record in pre season in the last few years the MLS all stars also beat Chelsea 1-0 and beat Fulham 4-1 and they seem to take these games pretty seriously. After beating Chelsea they were saying how it is evidence of how the growing amount of foreigners in the MLS was strengthening their league so I think a lot of pride in their league is at stake in these games.
