will try and get some team news on cardiff as to who will be there - we tend to split the whole squad (including youth team) between two different squads who play different games.

may be a little value on merthyr here, but need to see who's playing first.

You are getting Man UTD @ EVS to win HT-FT. I would advise caution though as these testimonial games tend to be a bit fixed before the kick off i.e. the last time Man Utd played us (Becham and schools were here) Aberdeen won on pens, it is also both team's first pre season game. Man Utd should win comfortably but you can never tell with these testimonial games as the last one proved.

I believe the United squad to be this!

United: Amos, Woods; Neville, Brown, Ferdinand, Vidic, O'Shea, Silvestre, Simpson; Carrick, Scholes, Fletcher, Hewson, Martin, Gibson, Eagles; Rooney, Giggs, Campbel

Should be good enough to beat the dons, as there are 11 first teamers in the squad

Always dodgy doing friendlies. Just don't know what kind of team is going to play and how seriously it's going to be taken mentally

Don't back pre-season games unless you know something. Generally i know nothing so i don't bet on them.

this aint a league game though - its a friendly. most teams will use these games to try players/systems, increase fitness etc - winning is not the objective but if it happens, then its a bonus.

as dsmythy says - unless you really know the teams etc, then avoid. These games are goldmines for those with knowledge and guaranteed to lose you money if you simply look at what should be considered logical thinking.

A young lad I know from West Ham scored for Charlton yesterday. His old man has been going years and he played in their last 3 games of the season, he really impressed too. Pardew has told him he is likely to be in the starting line up at the start of the season. His name is Jonjo Shelvey, a 16 year old who is a dead ball specialist. Watch this space. Anyway, didnt back Man Utd but wish I had. Like everyone says though, friendlies are dodgy. Weve got a game at Hampton and Richmond Thursday for Alan Devonshire, my all time hero who manages the non league side. We should win comfortably but no doubt it will be a draw so Devonshire is happy. Stay well clear.
