much a muchness as midweek - liverpool and Man Utd home to completely inferior opposition is an 80% return on your money overnight ( 4/5 ) you simply do not get investments like this anywhere.

The Blades play Charlton in a relegation showdown at the weekend, and Addicks boss Alan Pardew accepts that it is a massive match. "We have had some fantastic results recently, and if we continue to perform like that, we will get them again. We will approach the Sheffield United match now as a must-win game. There is no other way to describe it," he said.

I fully agree with Pardew that the weekend clash Charlton - Sheffield Utd. is decisive for the hosts in their anti-relegation battle. I except D.Bent to play his best on Saturday which should give Charlton a confortable win. Sheffield is really poor on away (3-1-13) so this is a great chance for Charlton. Odds are preety cool for me @2.20

You would have thought SKY would have shown the Charlton Sheff Utd game live.

Certainly a massive game for both sides but my monies on Charlton. Looking at the fixture list's these 2 teams have left Charlton's look the far harder. Defeat and there as good as down IMO where as Sheff U can probably afford to lose this one when you consider who they have left to play.

Surely we're at the point now where no team can look at a fixture and 'afford' not to win? I mean what happens if their relegation rivals pick up unexpected points elsewhere, suddenly blows everything out of sync. Every relegation threatened team now will surely look to get the necessary points to stave off relegation as quickly as possible. So I think both teams will want to fight for this.

After last nights defeat to Chelsea, Everton will be successful at Upton Park. Great value. When the chips are down....

Why wouldn't you include Chelsea in this given their recent form and what they have to play for (similar to Man U), thereby making it an even stronger number (albeit increasing the risk)?

Can't say i agree on that one bairnpunter.
Looking at this round's game, I can see tremendous opportunity for Westham:
15.Wigan Athletic34981735:52 35

16.Fulham United347141334:53 35

17.Sheffield United34971829:49 34

---------------------------------------------------------------------
18.Charlton Athletic34881830:51 32

19.West Ham United34852127:58 29

Charlton and Sheffield are playing each other and Wigan are facing Liverpool at Anfield.
This is probably hammers' last chance of survival and I just can't see them losing it.
Westham's potential is by far greater than table suggests and I honestly see them surviving another season at EPL.
For that to happen though, home win is necessary.

Westham isn't that bad imo, and in money time, they can certainly do it!

it's Westham -0.25, around @2.15 for me.

decent enough point m8, the reason I mentioned only those 2 as that was my quote in midweek with liverpool and man utd at home - IMO man utd are a better footballing team than chelsea and utd proved at pompey that the scripts arent always as they appear - newcastle beat chelsea last season ( or was it the one before ) and if shay given plays a blinder it could be " one of those games " for chelsk. although you make a fair enough point.

Given's rated as 'very doubtful' for this game so may jump on the bandwagon myself....think a Man U, Chelsea and Celtic treble looks good to me at 2.17, just don't trust Liverpool to maintain any sort of consistency...but looking at it of course they *SHOULD* win this...what about all the Wigan defenders? are they all back (they had an injury crisis vs spurs i recall) and their defence was absolutely horrible but lucky them Spurs' was just as bad...

2.81 on Australia's Sportsbet (sportsbet.com.au) for the Man U/Chel/Celt treble.

Are you SERIOUS???????? I'm just trying to save you some money here. It won't be comforatble. We have the momentum with playing well, charlton have been playing crap. May i also add that Mr Bent barely touched the ball in our earlier meeting this season... But you put on 5-0 etc if you wish

West Ham to survive?? Are you lot on the charlie or what. I'm seeing some very odd plays in here right now. We've played 34games in the EPL this season, i.e. their potential is 19th position - where they deserve to be. The last few pressure games ie sheff utd, watford, fulham, charlton - they haven't won - only getting 1 pt out of these, curbishley admitted himself they were rubbish under pressure. Might as well bang my head against a brick wall

At quick glance :

Charlton,Fulham, Watford(draw) and West Ham

Reason :

Charlton game will be a hard one and Sheffield will give a hell a lot of fight no doubt. However, I have to say Charlton have the edge here. They played quite nice at times especially at home and Charlton also have deeper squad compared to Sheffield. With Hulse injured, it would made it harder for SU to score. Some might argue, but they beat West Ham soundly last time ? Thats true, but West Ham is a yoyo team anyway and Charlton for one isn't as dodgy as West Ham for sure.

Now lets move to Fulham's game. Squad wise and form wise Blackburn looks on top and they are offered at quite juicy odds to win. However, this is Sanchez first charge at home and I think with Fulham being strong at home and needed a win badly after series of lacklustre performances, they should at least get a point here or even 3 points. So my reason behind this bet is basically, new manager factor backed with Fulham record at home which is not impressive but they don't lose a lot in Craven Cottage.

Despite Watford being the basement boys of EPL, they play a freestyle football and nothing to lose attitude from all of their players. This could be dangerous imo. Undoubtedly, Man City quality is better, we dont have to argue. But I watched Watford against MU last time, they weren't that bad but of course with both team vast difference in terms of players quality, money, and experience, MU domination would be inevitable. And its true Man City away form has been quite formidable but it was broken last time in Arsenal and I'm going for the surprise here.

Ok now to West Ham, despite all my remarks about being a YoYo team earlier, I think West Ham have quality players in their side. I watched their match against Chelsea last time and I have to say West Ham was impressive against them. If not for unlucky finishes, Cech and Chelsea disciplined defending, West Ham could score few more and fair score line to be honest should be 4 - 3. Against Everton, it would be tough no doubt but Hammers can make surprises throughout the season and I think this week would be one of those week, Hammers has done it again !

Haven't placed a bet yet but thats all my initial thought. G'luck guys!

what about the bookings count on this game nade ? the financial implications of this game are almost unmeasurable - a goalless draw @ 8/1 may get a bit of my dosh.
