Jibby - I think it's 3pm ko. Pretty sure Matlock play Ilkeston at 7.45 tonight. Maidstone/Sittinbourne in Ryman 1 South is 1-1 at HT.

jackierubberleg

looked into this one myself as there is some truth in your thoughts...job done, let's relax.

However my investigations highlighted that the previous encounter between the 2 sides earlier in the season was a less than friendly affair, culmulating in a Cambridge defender being sent off for extreme viloent conduct, which followed a mass brawl. A couple of other United players getting booked along the way.

This is all that stopped me backing United at good odds, altough it should be said that D+R are where they are because they definately have the best squad in the section, will Cambridges desire to win be enough?....we shall see, if a book allowed I would back the match to finish with less than 22 players on the pitch...that would be value

good luck on it mind you

Bedlam , i saw the angels at carshalton on saturday and i have to say that they were very dissapointing, considering that they still had a glimmer of the play-offs in sight.John main 100/% as ever apart ,they kept punting it too long form the back and really can have no complaints about the overall result.Main also by his high standards hit the allotments from the six yard box, still he is good company, i still have recurring nightmares about tony boot's miss for bromley 2 minutes from time.

The robins looked a good young team with the basis of something to build on for next season,as ever, at colston avenue, money permitting.Young david graves was outstanding at centre half,he read the game superbly, and main cannot have had a harder defensive opponent all season. If i am not reading things wrongly here, young david looks like the next star from the the robins accademy.I hope that they have him on contract,i doubt that they have.

I have to agree with the weston shout today at bedford and call me mad but at 11/10 with stan james i will be having a little dabble on chelmsford city at heybridge. The clarets away form has been terrible of late but the swifts really have petered out of late, jolly has gone, and it is up to the clarets to impose their style of play away form home. And at 11/10,there is still some left for a draw saver.I just think that the momentum from the hampton win will take them over the game line.

I am also leaning towards newport at church road on wednesday despite the missioners fine recent form.Good luck as ever.

Jibby, everything in Conference North, South and Ryman and Southern Prem is 3pm. In the Ryman 1 North games at Waltham Abbey and Tilbury kicked off early. In Ryman 1 South, the only early kick off was at Maidstone, where it finished 2-2. In the Southern League 1 South & West, games at Didcot and Thatcham are in progress. In the Unibond Prem and 1 only the Matlock game is not 3pm, but that's a 7.45pm kick off.

A pretty good day for me with Rugby and Uxbridge doing the business at good prices. Stourbridge went down to a late goal at Bromsgrove and Winchester lost to the only goal. Thanks to jackierubberleg for making me look at Cambridge and all in all that left me with a decent profit.

Waltham Abbey and Harlow cancelled each other out in a dull 0-0. The usually reliable Harry Elmes should have won it for the Abbotts but having gone past the keeper he shot tamely allowing a defender to get back and clear off the line.

Managed to get from the Abbey to Cheshunt in time for ko and blow me down if Chessy didn't win it 2-0! A great result for Chessy especially considering the other results at the bottom today. Hemels' forwards fired high and wide all afternoon and their midfield didn't like the physical approach from obeng and allen in the amber engine room. Two good goals, one in each half and not a shot on goal that I can remember from Cox. Opara didn't even come until the last 25 mins. Who needs em??!!

Hope everyone had a successful weekend.

Ivor, Tonbridge have been infuriatingly inconsistant all season. A few weeks ago I saw them lose 1-3 at home to East Thurrock & then win at Margate 3 days later! Earlier in the season they lost 2-5 at home to Leyton then won at AFC Wimbledon! One thing that has been consistant though is Jon Main's goals. Unfortunately, Tonbridge will lose Main in the summer as he's out of contract & his agent Mikel Beck is touting him around the Football League & Main has already been on trial with Wolves, Norwich & AFC Wimbledon in the last couple of weeks. Athough Main has scored 40 goals this season, I feel he may be a little lightweight to cut it in the Football League.

There were some good tips on line today, some very good work and excellent analysis, so well done to everyone for their inputs

overall I was happy 4.5 points staked for a 7.09 point return

thanks SUS for pointing out Gloucester.

I should have gone with rugby too, great tip

It could have been so much better for me, St Albans led 1.0 until the 81st minute where a penalty pulled Tamworth level, sending City down

Having said that it could have been so much worse, it was about the same time that Oxford scored their 2nd of 4 home to Weymouth, thank goodness they did.

Ref Tivvy, well just got back beating the bank holiday traffic from perhaps the most boring match I have seen in a long time, but we won 2.0 in front of 235! around 100 of whom had made the trip up from Devon....not quite sure how the likes of Clevedon survive really

MDP,

you will be putting a lot more miles on the clock this week with 4 away games in the next 8 days!! That's one hell of a schedule. How do you think your boys will cope? The gloom certainly seems to have lifted and to me as an outsider it looks like Holloway leaving has had a positive effect. A bad apple is a bad apple I suppose no matter how good a player. Good luck to Tivvy for the rest of the season, I had you down to be in the relegation fight with Chessy no more than a couple of weeks ago!

We are still a team in trouble

We have got out of the relegation dog fight by signing loan players. i think that Plymouth, Yeovil and Exeter all genuingly want tivvy to stay at level 3 so that we can get their squad players match fit

The club is extremley poorly run with the Martyn Rodgers family quite simply taking the piss, but survive we will and if nathan Rudge can follow Chris Holloway, as rumoured, to South Wales, new port in his case, then we have every chance of stabilising next year

Next away match is yate on wednesday, take matches one by one, but with Paul Chenoworth and Darren Edwards with yate, these matches always have some needle

the tivvy players looked more than happy at final whistle today...which at least was good to see

Much better day for me, with Gloucester and Boreham Wood this afternoon and Ilkeston tonight winning. Shame Weston couldn't oblige. 10/1 Walton put up a decent fight at Hampton, matching their hosts for long spells and going down to two in the last ten mins, the first a controversial pen. In all, over 6pts ex stake bagged.

Some great work here as ever. Thanks particularly to Piranha for pointing out Uxbridge, which more than made up for the losing Cinderford/Bradford PA double.

I Wanted to check out peoples views?

I would prefer 2 non league threads, 1 for the conference, 1 for lower than conference

just feel it would simplify things somewhat

what are everyone elses views ?, appreciate i have only just got back on line after a few months away, but i think it might help us.

Ivor, pretty sure Graves is on a contract at the robins, i know one of his pals who told me so, not sure if it runs out at the end of this season though.

Graves and John Cartledge have played well together for a while now but heard there was a bit of unrest between them in the past and maybe either or both could move on in the summer.

I know what you are saying MDP -but I dont think it is cluttered and all who post on the thread know the respective leagues. Also not sure the conference is big enough for its own thread . Just my view.

I think MDP's idea has merit if the "Conference" were to include the North and South divisions as well, so that 3 leagues were covered by a separate thread.

I agree that these 3 leagues, should have their own thread. Many of us foreigners, or at least my self, do not bet on leagues lower than the conference.

So it would be nice if it had it's own thread.

Anyway

Does anyone have important information about tonights game in York?

I agree as a foreigner...my book doesn't have prices on lower leagues, but I do enjoy/bet on the conference leagues. Much as I like to see Ships & Co posting winners I can't tail...

Fruitcake, this is taken from York's website:

"York City are expected to name an unchanged side for the visit of Rushden & Diamonds on Tuesday evening (kick-off 7.45pm).

The Minstermen have slipped a place to fifth following the Easter Monday fixtures, but victory would see them exchange places with Exeter City and open up a five-point lead over Gravesend & Northfleet in sixth.

Centre-back James Dudgeon is available for selection after serving a three-match ban, while fellow defender Nathan Peat is still struggling to recover from an ankle injury.

The visitors - who have already recorded notable victories at Dagenham & Redbridge and Oxford United - are without ex-Kidderminster Harriers defender Wayne Hatswell (groin).

Diamonds' chief threat is likely to come from their 16-goal leading scorer Simeon Jackson, while strike-partner Michael Rankine has also enjoyed recent success.

Former York loan defender Jason Goodliffe is set to be included on the bench. "

Although York had an excellent 2-1 win at play off rivals Burton on Saturday, they have failed to score in their previous 3 home games and gained only 1 point from a 0-0 draw against St Albans who have the poorest defence in the league and who have now been relegated. Even though Rushden have little to play for, I'd still be a bit nervous about backing York at only around 1.75. No bet game for me.

hayes - NEWPort COUNTY,11/10,STAN JAMES. well off to church road it is,and it akes a welcome change from chelmsford city on the road.

Well i have been on hayes back for the last 2 seasons or so,in my opinion, one of the poorest teams in the division.Having said that yet again the missioners are seemingly pulling off yet another great escape from the mire hill has seen sense and put young josh scott up front and pulling kevin warner fron staines on a dual loan back to his old stomping ground has certainly given the hayes boys impetus.

After the fisher game in augustll i thought that county would be major players,play-off certainties, and the home form has been thus, but the away form has been woeful althougha 2-2 draw with stortford and a narrow win at basingstoke, does offer some hope that the penny has dropped with the away situation.

County have 2 games in hand, and top the play-off hopes alive, they have to win tonight in north west london. As do hayes to keep out of the relegation drop door. Thus it should be an open game.

With that in mind i have to favour the extra class of county here, jason bowen ,rested against bedford, charlie griffin and craig hughes are really starting to gel up front, and it is a night when the experience of messrs hiller, brough, and searle at the heart of e defence will be key.And at stan james 11/10,when the other go evens,i will be having a little interest.
