At the bottom of the league is the Woking/Lewes match & i can only tell you about Lewes at the mo, centre back Breach is out after dis-locating his shoulder on saturday but Cullip also left the field at Burton with a hamstring problem, also doubtfull are Geard,Davis & Rowland & with Fraser going back to Bristol Rovers the squad is very depleted..... any fans going with Lewes shirts on will probably be on the bench .... like i say don't know about Woking but SURELY they should win this.....

A TOUGH one to call this.To even be thinking of the cards at 10/11 with the form that they are in would normally be a case for the mad-house but lewes are in such dire straits themselves.Aithough they did go down fighting saturaday past at burton.

We all lost out on the ebbsfleet game with the rooks and cullipi has made a tad of difference to the defnce, but he is now out for 2 games or so and injuries are again hitting them hard.

For woking kim grant must be in real trouble if they do not get their first points here.Tony thorpe has been signed, hmmm. It surely has to be the crds here but i feel trhat the best thing may be to wait and take barrow on saturday as long as they are making it an overnight stay from cumbria.Barrow have really adapted well to teh step up in class and will be surely targeting the lewes game as a real 6 pointer.

The live game looks an interesting one tonight, and I can't help thinking there might be goals in this one, especially if Sodje and McBreen start for York. Both sides should be playing 4-4-2 with out and out wingers, and on that basis, with so much wing play and crosses, I'm going to have a nibble at X corners on the spreads with Sporting at 27. On the Player Goal Minutes, Mark Greaves always appeals for York, and he's been in midfield of late, and Mansfield's Michael Blackwood has an eye for a goal, but I am tempted by central midfielder Ben Wilkinson at 6 for York with Spreadex. He's not won over the York fans yet, and can't really do the holding man in the middle role, but he attacks the ball in the box and likes a shot. The risk is that as he's out of form he's a likely early sub. But York's boss Colin Walker isn't afraid to mix it up tactically, and he may play Wilkinson just behind the strikers (as in the Wrexham game). If he does that, I'll be getting on his goal minutes.

Think there could be goals in quite a few games tonight.

Wrexham v Burton: Over 2.5 goals, 4/6

- Wrexham had 9 goals in last 3 games, and 14 in last 5 home games.
- Burton had 25 goals in last 5 games! and 17 in last 5 away games.

Crawley v Grays: Over 2.5 goals, 8/11

- 13 goals in Crawleys last 3 games, and 19 in last 5 home games.
- Grays seem to consistantly concede goals away from home.

Kidderminster v Torquay: Kidderminster win, 11/8

- Kidderminster not lost at home in last 10 games, and won 7 of those.
- Torquay only won 3 away in last 10 games, and travelling to Kidderminster is quite a distance.

Clarky, i recall thorpe signing for fulham in 96 ish for a million from luton,he could finish but he was always overweight and rumoured to have a penchant for the drink.

AS for the cards well yes pidgely is a good signing from millwall and up front manny williams has always been a free scorer lower down the pyramid for maidenhead utd and leyton and in all honesty he is up against a confernce south defence tonight so it does point to a woking win.

Nice post Sloppy.

yeah, I like the Wrexham overs, they should be uber confident after their good win over Salisbury and 4 out of the next 6 at home. So I like overs and home win for that one.

The other that caught my eye was:

Barrow FC v Rushden Over 2.5 goals @ 1.85

Alot of Barrow games have gone over since their step up. They've made a good start and should be looking to bounce back from defeat to Stevenage. Rushden should also fancy their chances, Barrow have enjoyed their purple patch and may well start to 'get found out' by a few sides.

England Blue Sq Premier
Soccer - Kettering Forest/Stevenage - total Over 2½ (-101)
for the regulation time held on Sep 2 at 1:45pm [pending]

This is not only the best-priced overs on the board, but circumstances point to it. Kettering haven't had any overs yet, but they have scored in all six of their games and conceded in the first four (clean sheets in the last two against Cambridge and Woking). Stevenage away have had three overs in which they conceded 5, 4 and 1 goal...and after their rough initial results are surely thinking 3 points every time out. In most of their games they've conceded inside of 25 minutes, while Kettering have scored within 15 minutes in three games.

Happy with the X corners spread trade on last night's Setanta game. York managed nine and Mansfield five, for a total make-up of 45. On a buy of 27 that's a profit of 18 points, which is a touch higher than I had in mind.

Was at the Boro/FGR match last night & have to say how well Boro played, fought well, closed down & knocked it about on the floor....but i must say FGR are a very good footballing side & very very fit & will go well this season as long as the pitches are good......On another side Woking must be poor or Lewes must have improved considably...i'll see on sat when i nip over to see the Barrow game.....

EventKidderminster v Torquay
SelectionOver 2.5 Goals
Strength10/10
Date04/09/2008
Bookmaker/PriceBetfair @ 1.97 (Back)
ReasoningKidderminster have played 6 games this season, Five of those games have finished in over 2.5 goals.

Torquay have only been involed in two overs but most have had two goals.

Looks to be an open game and a great prospect of both teams scoring a couple.

Overs look a good price at nearly evens.

One spread trade for me tonight, and that's Mark Creighton's player goal mins at 4 with Sporting and IG. It's low because he's usually at the the other end marshalling the defence, but Torquay are vulnerable at the back to set pieces and Kidderminster can deliver. I am tempted by the headed goal minutes quote, as I think there will be goals, although I'm not sure for whom. I'll also keep an eye on the bookings supremacy quote, as Torquay have a nasty streak that comes out when frustrated.
